Mad Men/Recap/S4/E02 Christmas Comes but Once A Year

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.
< Mad Men‎ | Recap‎ | S4

Betty and Henry take the kids shopping for Christmas trees. There, Sally runs into Glenn, who clearly has a crush on her. He spends the rest of the episode calling her to give terrible advice from his own mother's recent remarriage, and finally trashes their house (save for Sally's room) while they're out.

Don, spending his first Christmas alone, attracts the attention of his neighbor Phoebe, who is worried about his persistent drunkenness. Don has other concerns as Lee Garner has invited himself to SCDP's Christmas party, which now has to be much bigger because they have to bend over backwards for their biggest client. He gets home without his keys, calls his secretary Alison to bring them, and they have sex.

But that's okay because Freddy Rumsen is back! And he has an account with Pond's Cold Cream! Oh, but Freddy's been away for over two years and he doesn't really "get" the new agency. And he and Peggy are having their first big disagreements, mostly because of his strange fixation with old ladies.
