• Fake Brit: Yotsuya's accent in the Viz English dubs. To be fair, his first dub actor, Gerard Plunket is an Irish born Canadian. Ron Halder, his replacement post episode 36, however, is American but does a very seamless transition from his predecessor.
• The Other Darrin: In the English dub after episode 36 Viz placed their dub of the show on Hiatus for a while until 2004 and while Viz still used The Ocean Group for the voice work some of the cast changed namely Godai, Hanae, Yotsuya, Kentaro, Ikuko and Kozue.
• Unintentional Period Piece: Much of the drama would have been avoided if the characters had cell phones!
