Missile Command/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • THE END
  • This game literally made nightmares a common occurrence for the creator when the game was still in development. Even years after the game came out, he still got them about once every 2 or 3 months. Admittedly a sleep expert, Barry Krakow, said that this is probably in part because of the creator's practically unhuman work ethic. The guy would get in the right mindset and would rather stay awake for as long as he could than go to sleep. He would stay awake for days at a time. While awake whatever game he is working on at the time dominates his thoughts. The nightmares weren't entirely a bad thing, because they probably were used as inspiration for part of the depressing THE END, and maybe some other things too.
