Mission Hill/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The series' use of ska music. Sadly though, when the series was released on DVD the producers were unable to secure the license rights to any of the music used in the broadcast and syndicated versions of the show, with the exception of Cake's 'Italian Leather Sofa'. Low-quality, muzak-esque songs back DVD episodes and for anyone who has seen the episodes on TV with the intended music, it can be a bit of a letdown. Word of God confirms this in the DVD commentary.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: The obscene man who whispered, "Penis Penis Penis," to Andy on the street and over the phone.
  • Fan-Preferred Couple: Andy and Weirdie.
  • Funny Aneurysm Moment (In the episode with The Crisis- despite the nature of the crisis never being named, there are very eerie overtones of 9/11.)
    • Except with more aircraft carriers, helicopter lifts, and Dennis Rodman.
    • "What do we want?" * loud grumble* "When do we want it?!" * different loud grumble*
      • "This guys don't know the first thing about * same loud grumble as the first* "
    • Andy is the only one who doesn't give a damn, he's only cares about his date.
  • Memetic Mutation: PENIS PENIS PENIS PENIS PENIS.
  • Too Good to Last (If the synopsis at the top is any indication, despite being short-lived, it still had a devoted fanbase.)
    • On top of that, when it aired on the WB, the last episode was the one where Andy's boss at the waterbed store is jailed for tax evasion and Andy loses his job (ending with Ron's car getting smashed up and Ron threatening to kill Andy and Kevin, but gets knocked unconscious as he hits the prison Plexiglass), and the conclusion to that episode (where Andy works for Jim at the ad agency) didn't air until Cartoon Network started adding more cartoons to its Adult Swim line-up.
