Morbius is a 2022 vampire film set in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, following Venom and its sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage. It is directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Jared Leto as the titular character with Jared Harris, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona and Tyrese Gibson for the supporting cast. It was delayed from a July 2020 release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tropes used in Morbius (film) include:
  • Big Bad: Loxias Crown/Hunger.
  • Crossover: Michael Keaton's Vulture from the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a role in this film.
  • Game Face: Morbius has one in his vampire form.
  • Mythology Gag: The film is loaded with Spider-Man easter eggs.
    • The Oscorp Tower is based on its design from The Amazing Spider-Man.
    • A picture of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man was defaced with "murderer" written on it.
    • Morbius says to Simon Stroud "I am Venom".
    • Black Cat and Rhino were mentioned in a Daily Bugle newspaper.
  • Race Lift: Simon Stroud is white in the comics. In this film, he is black.
  • Super-Hero Origin: The film serves as one to Morbius.
  • Watch It for the Meme: An attempt to cash in on jokes about it led to a second theatrical release during a time otherwise devoid of new theater releases. While not a huge success, this was enough for the film to finally make back its budget. This is most often noted to contrast it with the the Box Office Bomb Lightyear that came soon after the re-release
