  • Synopsis: "Over the years, Bird learns to walk and talk like a human."
  • Comments: Kouichi and Shijima's backstory, from their becoming immortal all the way up to the series' start. For such a speculative fic, it's incredibly believable, and Mellish's writing, as usual, is top notch.

  • Pairings: Raikou/Gau, hints at Yoite/Miharu
  • Synopsis: "If you knew how much I loved you, you would run away."
  • Comments: The Gau's characterization in particular is spot-on. The second chapter is simultaneously one of the funniest things I've ever read and completely NSFW. I could not stop grinning like an idiot while reading it.
