Naruto/Characters/Hidden Stone Village

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Third Tsuchikage

Voiced by: Tomomichi Nishimura (JP), Steve Blum (ENG)

Real name: Onoki.

The current, extremely elderly leader of the Village Hidden in the Stones. Very proud, despite his frailty, and shows little respect to those much younger than him.

During the Kage Summit, he admitted to have frequently hired Akatsuki. He defended his action, stating that the use of Akatsuki was necessary to protect themselves while still demilitarizing, but this and his advanced age still lead Mifune to deny him leadership of the forces to lead against Akatsuki. When Sasuke intrudes on the meeting room chasing after Danzo, he refuses to take part in the fight. Later, he goes out to find Kabuto and prevent him from finding Killer Bee and Naruto.

  • Badass Grandpa
  • Crack! Oh, My Back!: Almost word for word.
  • Determinator: After he's pretty much left half-dead from Madara's double meteorites, he decides to keep fighting and really cut loose in the fight.
  • Elemental Powers: He (allegedly) has three, plus one combined:
    • Blow You Away
    • Disintegrator Ray: The Dust techniques work exactly like this.
    • Dishing Out Dirt: As you would expect, given where he's from.
      • Elemental Punch/Power Fist: The Rock Fist technique.
      • Gravity Master: His Added-Weight Rock and Light-Weight Rock techniques can increase the weight of what he touches. He can reduce his own weight to the extent where he can fly, and can induce this in other objects to the extent that he can levitate entire islands without so much taxing him.
      • Taken for Granite: Added-Weight Rock technique can not only increase the weight of things but petrify them as well.
    • Playing with Fire
  • Flight
  • Gonk: Better believe it.
  • Glass Cannon: While he can easily disintegrate anything that comes his way, once he's out of stamina,he's an easy target for a counterattack.
    • Although he did survive Madara's double Meteorite.
  • Grumpy Old Man
  • Heroic Willpower: He was the only one to recover from the pollen created by Madara's World Forest technique, and destroyed it completely, even injuring Madara himself.
  • Miniature Senior Citizens: He is roughly 1.5 times as tall as his Nice Hat is long.
  • One-Man Army: He is one of the Kages and according to the Second Tsuchikage, his mentor, he could destroy entire armies of Ninjas without problem if he so much wished.
  • Old Soldier: He has face the best of the best the Ninja World had and is still alive as Kage, a position with an almost 100% mortality rate.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Stated in Chapter 514. His Jinton could easily kill a huge target like Turtle Island with a single attack.
    • Put it this way. The Third Raikage died holding off an army. Onoki and his teacher, Mu, would just destroy it with their Jinton.
  • Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: He is a Jerkass most of the time with most of the people in lieu of his age and experience.
  • Sempai-Kohai: Indicates that he might be Gaara's senpai among the Kages while condescendingly offering to listen to his questions.
  • Squishy Wizard: A traditional Nuker type, as his low stamina and back problems prevent him from cutting loose with physical attacks.

Kurotsuchi

Voiced by Hana Takeda

The Tsuchikage's Granddaughter and bodyguard. She refers to Deidara as her big brother, but this is pretty much either an honorific that she grew up close to him.

Akatsuchi

Voiced by Kenta Miyake

The Tsuchikage's other bodyguard and possible grandson, given the name and similar looks to Kitsuchi. Like Akatsuchi he knows Deidara who resents him for always getting in his way.

Kitsuchi

Kurotsuchi's father and possibly related to the Tsuchikage as well as Akatsuchi given the names and similar looks. Appointed as the Commander of the 2nd Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Second Tsuchikage

Real name: Muu

Previous Tsuchikage, master of Onoki and creator of the fearsome Kekkei Tota Jinton (Dust release), one of the deadliest techniques ever forged. He was an extremely respected and feared leader of Iwagakure and the strongest Shinobi ever lived from said Village. He died undetermined years before the series started at the hands of his Archnemesis, the Nidaime Mizukage in a double kill. He was revived by Edo Tensei and forced to battle the 4th Batallion and his former pupil along with the rest of the Kages. Besides being a very tall man covered in bandages wearing a dark colored headband with no markings, extremely polite and fanatical loyal to Iwa, not much is know of him.

  • A Father to His Men: But don't expect any mercy if you are from another Village.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Jinton uses Fire, Earth and Wind natures in perfect harmony.
  • Arch Nemesis: The Nidaime Mizukage to the bitter end. Even so, he doesn't seem to had any ill will to the man and even respected him. The Nidaime was not amused.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking
  • Bandage Mummy: Badass style.
  • Combat by Champion: Justified. Only Kage level individuals could face him. Anything less would instantly die without apporting anything to the fight. That's the reason why only Oonoki and Gaara (and later Naruto) fought him, while the other Kages faced the entire batallion.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: "Alliances only exist until you can safely stab your allies in the back."
  • Combat Pragmatist: So much that he was deemed to be too much, even by other Shinobi forces during his reign and shocked to the core the other Kages with his underhanded methods against the Shinobi Alliance.
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Didn't See That Coming: His death. Also, Naruto's Planetary Rasengan with his Chakra arms took him by surprise.
  • Disintegrator Ray: Uses the same Dust Release as Onoki.
  • Flight
  • Gravity Master: He taught Oonoki everything he knows and was demeed superior to his former pupil.
  • I Cannot Self-Terminate: Like the rest of the Kages, he wants to be liberated from Edo Tensei. At difference of them, he never revealed his secrets, only asking Onoki to be the one to do it.
  • Implausible Fencing Powers: While only aluded, he was deemed an extremely deadly swordman.
  • Invisibility: To the point of being demeed Mujin (non-person), for it was deemed impossible to detect him; only the Mizukage had ever successfully done it. While perfect, the technique had to be shedded before a fight.
  • Japanese Honorifics: "Dono".
  • My Village Right or Wrong: He only cares for Iwagakure and will do absolutely anything to protect it. His underhanded methods was what brought the wrath of the Nidaime Mizukage.
  • Me's a Crowd: His splitting technique.
  • My Significance Sense Is Tingling: He can sense chakra, nature, level and DNA energy miles away with absolute precision. It's also impossible to ambush him Not even Naruto Kyubi Mode velocity managed that.
  • OOC Is Serious Business: You know that the guy is badass, when the resident Old Jackass calls him sir.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: He could level entire cities if he so much as wished it, and levitating mountains would barely tax him.
  • Politeness Judo
  • One-Man Army: Numbers are meaningless to him. He could slaughter entire armies without effort. The only way to battle him is with another legendary warrior as Onoki, Gaara and Naruto Kyubi Mode show.
  • One-Hit Kill: His jinton can destroy at the molecular level. It's also normally measured by mile damage radius.
  • Stealth Expert
  • Super Reflexes: Good enough to sense and avoid Naruto in Kyubi mode.
  • Taking You with Me: With second Mizukage, although it was unintentional.
  • The Strategist
  • The Stoic
  • Undying Loyalty: To Iwagakure. Taken to its logical conclusion. Even after death and defeat, he tried to make Iwa superior to the other Villages.
  • Worthy Opponent: The Nidaime Mizukage. The feeling was not mutual.

Roshi

The elderly jinchuuriki to the Four Tailed Ape, Roshi long since abandoned his village before the series on a journey of self discovery to try and understand the beast inside him. He was captured by Kisame offscreen and subsequently killed when his tailed beast was sealed by the Akatsuki. Kabuto later ressurects him with his Edo Tensei technique and Tobi uses him as one of his own Six Paths

Han

The jinchuuriki to the Five Tailed Horse, Han is one of the most mysterious of the previous jinchuuriki. Kabuto later ressurects him with his Edo Tensei technique and Tobi uses him as one of his own Six Paths
