NationStates/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

It's a game about making your own nation and running it how you want to. Now, considering what nations in real life have done, it's only natural that this trope should be present...

  • Doomingsland is pretty much this trope incarnate. (inactive)
  • Station 12 is perfection, Station 12 cannot be questioned..
  • Mekanta. That is all.
  • Menta Lee-Il makes Doomingsland look like paradise.
  • Chronosia certainly has his moments.
  • The C'tan likewise; despite his Necrons being generally more benevolent, he can still drag out the nightmare fuel.
  • The Kraven Corporation. *shudder*
  • Marlencom allows its citizens to choose one of 12 gruesome methods of death penalty if they do not pay their taxes.
    • What's worse is that all of them were used in Real Life.
  • The Holy Covenant Empire. The whole back story was released to me, other than the High octane Nightmare fuel that both Halo, Mass Effect contain, the main gods they worship are actually not only real, but their unknown enemy, then there is the weapons they use, I don't know about you, but having a huge bullet get shot into my heart is scary, ad that the tip will blow up like a grenade and let loose concentrated Plasma, and your dying a horrible death and that is truly a nightmare in my opinion. Hell, they are also scary dogmatic aliens, if this was the covenant the UNSC fought, Halo would have a whole different ending, now inactive.
  • Trevlandia The Great. It's a fandom nation for the cartoon Sidekick, ruled by an aged up Trevor, who is a Complete Monster who murdered his own FAMILY, and brainwashes people to worship him. What caused all this? Eric's mysterious death, which may or may not be Trevor's fault. *shudder* Never going to watch the show the same way again, the nation was inactive for a while, now it's back up.
  • The Confederative Social Union States of Whairtia. Basically we have a somewhat realistic nation of evolved dinosaurs and other animals that live on super continents with their homeland being somewhat bigger than Russia and being able to hold far more than Russia, does anybody know how much hell you would go through trying to take Russia? Try it on a more powerful species, with a head start on technology and has a massive standing army thanks to unmanned vehicles in their ranks. Oh and their largest soldiers have a bite force strong enough to make Dauntless, one of the most powerful body armor designs in nation states MT (and in early PMT) look like old crackers. That and despite disbelief they apparently have enough military capability to take down nations in hours, but that is debatable since the only know state was a small island but still. Oh, and the carnivores eat the dead of the fallen enemy.
