Characters

Darth Xaos

Now there's a face you can trust!

Death is too small an obstacle to bar me from my destiny.

The founding father of both the Obsidian Union and the New Sith Brotherhood. His death sent the Union spiraling into chaos since, having been immortal, Xaos never figured his death into any of his plans. Xaos was born (circa 5,100 BBY) as Norg’ari; a clansman in a Noghri tribe dwelling on one of the moons of Ziost. He was transformed by an Alchemical device into a spirit that could possess freshly dead corpses. After mostly bemoaning his existence for thousands of years, Xaos met Count Dooku and became his secret Apprentice. Dooku’s plan to kill Palpatine and rule the Galaxy alongside a new Sith Order free of the Rule of Two didn’t quite work out, however. After moping out the entirety of the Galactic Civil War in a Death Stick high, Xaos was recruited into Darth Groznii’s New Sith Order. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Affably Evil: Xaos was incredibly personable, highly educated, a witty conversationalist and could eloquently argue any philosophic or political point he wished. He used these talents to create the biggest, most organized angry mob in Star Wars history.
  • A Glass of Chianti: Averted. Xaos’ preferred alcoholic beverage was Juma Juice which is closer to vodka than wine.
  • Big Bad: He was Dark Lord of the Sith. How could he not fit this trope?
  • Blue and Orange Morality: When over five thousand years old you live to be, see how human your morality is.
  • Body Snatcher: Xaos started life as a Noghri tribesman but was transformed into a wraith that could possess the freshly dead by a mysterious machine. Had to Body Surf at first as the bodies continued to decay under his occupation. He learned to prevent this after possessing the corpse of a Jedi during the Great Hyperspace War. Ironically, Xaos himself was often a victim of this. When in a weakened state Xaos’ possession allowed other spirits to force him into quiescence and control the body he currently occupied. The longest of these instances lasted from the start of the Jedi Civil War to the start of the Clone Wars. During this time he was under the possession of Ludo Kressh. His eventual Sith training taught him to resist this but he didn’t find out what had actually happened until much later.
  • Chessmaster: Frequently outmaneuvered the Galactic Alliance despite the fact that it had superior firepower, manpower, technology and funding. He once leaked false news of a Union attack on Sullust to clear the way for a raid on Coruscant.
    • Despite his death (and a complete lack of planning for it) he still has a number of secret projects still proceeding right on schedule, without the knowledge of anyone else in the Brotherhood.
  • Dark Messiah: As if the choice of avatar didn’t make this obvious?
  • Fountain of Expies: Only somewhat and very subtly in the use of the proper noun “Bethrezen.” The first Bethrezen was the moon of Ziost that Xaos was born on and was later wiped of life by Darth Malak. The space-station capital of the Union was named New Bethrezen in its memory. Yet, out of the site’s continuity, Xaos’ player used the name for a Lawful Evil Cleric he played in a Dungeons and Dragons game. This was after the name was given to the moon but before it was given to the space-station in real-life time. Said player took the name from a series of turn-based strategy games called Disciples wherein it is given to the games’ equivalent of Satan.
  • Just the First Citizen: Within the Union the position Xaos held has absolute power with no checks or balances. It is called “Consul.”
  • I Control My Minions Through...: Authority, all variants of Loyalty, Money, Mind Control and Power.
  • I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream: A fairly literal example. On a mission Xaos encountered Jedi Master Tionne Solusar, with whom he had indirectly dueled through philosophical writings for some time. After defeating her in combat, Xaos used Force Dominate to permanently alter her mind. Knowing that Tionne valued nothing more than her ability to impart Jedi lore to others he completely removed her ability to communicate in any fashion. Depending on whom you ask this was a Crowning Moment of Awesome, High-Octane Nightmare Fuel or a Kick the Dog moment. Or all three.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Checklist time. Convince the rest of the Sith Council to overthrow the Dark Lord so you can make a play for the position later? Check. Sit by and do nothing when someone seizes the Dark Lord title illegitimately so you can later come in like the heroic cavalry and thereby claim the tile for yourself? Check. Convince numerous impoverished or marginalized planets that their problems can all be solved by killing your enemies? Check. Use said planets to create a culture that serves only to create one, giant anti-Jedi lynch mob? Check. Radically rewrite history to suit your purposes then decry any other versions as propaganda? Check. Convince a group of bored nobles that you can make them immortal if they worship you? Check. Sacrifice as many of your followers as necessary to further your personal crusade against the Jedi? Check.
  • Man of Wealth and Taste: All the old-world courtliness you’d expect of someone who has lived for five millennia.
  • Mayfly-December Romance: More than a few over the millennia. The key one being the one true love of his life, err…unlife, Karina Panarii. Her death sent him into a fugue that lasted from the start of the Jedi Civil War till the start of the Clone Wars. Ironically Lady Vidia, whom Xaos expected to fall under this as well, had a hand in his eventual death.
  • President Evil: More like President-for-Life Evil. But, either way, Xaos is the founding father of the Union and his face is plastered Lenin-style on every Union street corner.
  • Purple Prose: Xaos spoke in this as a side effect from living for millennia and missing out on all cultural development in a few of them.
  • Sliding Scale of Anti-Heroes: Type IV or Type V depending on how generous you’re feeling.
  • Trickster: Xaos has always relied on the gullibility of strangers.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: And how. Xaos created an entire propaganda machine designed to cast the Union as the hope of the Galaxy and himself as the heart and soul of the Union.
  • Visionary Villain: Xaos was obsessed with the vision of a unified Galaxy under a restored Sith Order imparted to him by his Master, Count Dooku.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: It is the destiny of the Sith to rule the Galaxy. It is the Will of the Force that the Sith rule the Galaxy. The Jedi and all others who stand in the way of the Force’s Will must die. Thus spoke Xaos.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: This is basically the core of Xaos’ character concept.
  • Wicked Cultured: Made sure to include an opera house on his ultra-advanced space station.

Darth Lucifer

If the doors of Perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is. Infinite.

Created many years before the Clone Wars, Spaga'iv Xakersta Narat iv-Kelgrath (later Karys Narat iv-Kalgrath, and the man who would become Darth Lucifer) was genetically engineered using the DNA of two famed and Force-Sensitive Massassi from eons past by a scientist under influence from the spirit of the great Sith-King, Adas, with the intent to bring an end to the slow, stagnating extinction his species faced. Left near a colony of Massassi, Lucifer spent years of his life training in the ways of his people (the hard way), Lucifer fought in the Clone Wars and was sent on the run when the rising Galactic Empire decided his unit was obsolete. The rest of his unit falling to assassins, Lucifer himself was left on the brink of death by Darth Vader, and would have died if he wasn't discovered by a hermit, who taught Lucifer the ways Tera Kasi and K'thri martial arts and laid the groundwork for the mentality he would later develop into. Nursed back to health, Lucifer took to traveling the Galaxy, which lead him to Korriban and the Massassi tribes on the planet.

After several years, Lucifer was discovered by a Sith Marauder, Darth Nefarious, who, with Lucifer's permission, took him on as his apprentice. A prodigy, Lucifer made multiple friends (in particular, the future Dark Lord, Xaos) despite his initially arrogant and boastful nature. Present since the first of the Great Schisms, Lucifer's loyalty has never once wavered, even when he was called upon to slay his own Master. Having grown significantly, physically, mentally and in power, Lucifer is popular and respected among the Sith Ranks, seen as capable, competent, wise and strong. By virtue of their Adas blood, he is technically related to Exolus, and has taken on both an adoptive sister, Lady Rhaehona (formerly Phaotean) and an adoptive son, Rayden. The new Dark Lord in the wake of Xaos and Vidia's deaths, he seeks to crush the Jedi, replenish the numbers of his people, win back each planet lost by the Brotherhood in their histories of war and bring about Adas' vision of a Golden Age. His ultimate goal is the birth of order from the chaos of the Galaxy.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Ambadassador: He thinks of himself as a ambassador to his people. With few Massassi tribes left in the galaxy he has become their representative alongside his brother Darth Exolus.
  • Asskicking Equals Authority: He wouldn't be the head of the Marauder house (and likely not the Dark Lord either) if you couldn't dish out the most hurt of anyone in the Union.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: He's a Sith Marauder and a Senior Sith Master, considered to be the longest living member of the council. More to the point, he was recently anointed Dark Lord.
  • Awesome Yet Practical: His weapons and his ability to create unique armor. Lucifer is considered to be the best armorer on New Bethrezen and has a weapon that gives him a menacing edge...a Lanvarok/Crushgaunt combination, meaning he can fire razor sharp discs, crush the life out of an opponent or allow impale his enemies with the (notably menacing) extendable claws that jut out of the front of the contraption. Fear is warranted, in this case.
  • Band of Brothers : Can best describe Lucifer's affiliation with Loon, Verril, Rhaehona, Reaver and Exolus.
  • Battle Couple: Lucifer and Lady Loon's.
  • Black Knight : Lucifer is a enigmatic man who rarely shares little of his past for in truth he knows little of it since he lost most of his memory when a bomb exploded pretty much right next to him. He is both feared and respected by enemy and ally alike.
  • Berserk Button : Harming his love Lady Loon, his brother Darth Exolus or his adoptive sister Lady Rhaehona. He also will go berserk if someone kills a close friend of his or tries to destroy the Brotherhood from within.
  • Badass Boast: Oh look, I cut you....what a shame. Seems even you bleed. - during a duel to a notably powerful Sith and former member of the Sith Council, previously presumed dead.
  • Cool Ship : The Ahriman, a modified Preybird Class Assault Starfighter. Considered one of the most heavily armed starfighters in the fleet due to the armanent of a Stygium based cloaking field, lightweight cortosis ore foils, two heavy laser cannons, two concussion missile launchers equipped with Cortosis tipped missiles and two dual fire-linked laser cannon, topped off by an intimidating shape. Tends to be a feared sight.
  • Character Alignment: Lawful Neutral.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Lucifer was appointed Dark Lord following Xaos' death and Lady Vidia's execution at his hand.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Lucifer is a brutal teacher who punishes failure on a regular basis.
  • Dual-Wielding: This is Lucifer's main combat speciality. He is a master at using two weapons to confront his foes and is rarely seen these days without two sabres close to hand.
  • Endangered Species: The Massassi as a whole are few and far between these days and are uncommon in the galaxy making Lucifer a rare exception.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Lucifer and Reaver.
  • Gary Stu
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Sithese. He sometimes speaks with his brother Exolus in the language of his people, but he mostly speaks basic.
  • Hot for Student: The relationship between Lucifer and his lover/apprentice Lady Loon.
  • Just the First Citizen: Holds the position of First Consul within the Obsidian Union, but rarely uses his position.
  • Kung Fu Wizard: Lucifer is a superb martial artist who combines force use with his martial ability in equal measure.
  • Lightning Bruiser: His Strength, Toughness and Agility are high, making him a physical force to be reckoned with.
  • Made of Iron: See above.
  • No Social Skills: Usually brutally blunt and straight forward when speaking.
  • Old Soldier: Despite being fairly young in Massassi terms, Lucifer is still in his 60s in human years and has fought in countless battles throughout his life.
  • Overly Long Name: Spaga'iv Xakersta Narat iv-Kelgrath. Even Lucifer's forgotten it, so now he simply goes by Karys Narat iv-Kalgrath, or just Lucifer.
  • Parental Substitute: Lucifer's relationship with Darth Rayden and Darth Blazze, particularly after the former adopted both of the latter.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy
  • Raised by Natives: Fairly adequate description of his past.
  • Renaissance Man
  • Replacement Love Interest: Lucifer once had a romantic fling with one of the Witches until she disappeared for years without any contact. As such he fell in love with Lady Loon when she arrived.
  • Some Call Me... Tim: He has quite a long name, which he himself long forgotten. As such, he's usually simply called Karys by his brother and by others Lord Lucifer (or simply Lucifer).
  • Seen It All: Weary Traveler varient.
  • The Dragon: To Xaos, before Xaos died and Lucifer became Dark Lord.
  • The Sacred Darkness: Lucifer believes this.
  • The Fettered: Lucifer has a strict honor code he lives by.
  • The Blacksmith: Lucifer is a excellent armorer. He is currently searching for the information he needs in holocrons and scrolls to become a master armorer.
  • Training from Hell: Lucifer was trained from the age of 7 in the traditional Massassi culture and then later on as a Sith using The Spartan Way when he undertook physical and mental conditioning under his master, Darth Nefarious.
  • Villainous Friendship : Type I best describes the friendship between the former Dark Lord Xaos and Lucifer.

Darth Reaver

Information is Ammunition.

Military Executor of the Union armed forces, Commandant of the Jaig Legion, and Chair of the Galactic Liberation Party. Originally named Calan Dlareg, Reaver is one of the most politically influential Sith Lords in the Union. Serving as the cold, calculating military official Reaver cannot stand being told what he cannot possibly do, using his foul temper as a motivation to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.

When the Jedi discovered him at age 20, they took him in, wary of allowing someone with as much anger and potential as him to wander the Galaxy without guidance. He came to view the Jedi as his family following his parents’ deaths, a viewpoint that changed following a mission that went poorly; in guarding a sleazy politician from an angry mob, Reaver wound up unleashing a Force wave that killed many rioters when trying to defend his Master, target and fellow Padawan. Declared a risk by the Council and due to have his Force connection stripped from him, Reaver escaped in the middle of the ceremony, stole and X-Wing and made a blind jump, engaging the pursuing GA forces on the other end of the jump and eventually having his life saved by Union forces. He joined the Sith willingly, eventually becoming the Grand Magus of House Xaos and, in the wake of Xaos’ death and the defence of New Bethrezen (led by him), the Chair of the Galactic Liberation party, making him the direct point of contact for all member planets and second in power, political and otherwise, only to the Dark Lord himself. Forever faithful to the Brotherhood, forever faithful to the Brotherhood, he strives to lead the Union to victory over the GA, and to free the galaxy of the Jedi's influence once and for all.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Darth Xyrafus

Xyrafus is the kind of person who climbs to the top of a hill in a thunderstorm, wearing bronze armor and yells "All gods are bastards!"

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: In the sense that he's been brainwashed into absolute loyalty and is absolutely insane.
  • Character Alignment: Chaotic Evil. Xyrafus is just plain homicidially crazy. At the same time, he has a few shades of Lawful Evil in that he'll follow the word of the Dark Lord as law, no matter whether or not he agrees with it.
  • Cool Ship: As House Lord to the Assassins, Xyrafus has free reign to use the House's House Ship, a Venator.
  • I'm a Humanitarian
  • Comedic Sociopathy
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Once fired from one side of New Bethrezen to the other and managed to hit his target, horribly defiling the laws of physics in the process.
  • Kinetic Weapons Are Just Better: Prefers solid ammunition to blasters.
  • Living Weapon: In a sense; his arm has a built-in, organic flamethrower.
    • It'd be more accurate to say Xyrafus himself is a living weapon.
  • Professional Killer: Xyrafus heads up the Assassins on the site, and is also the only Assassin currently at Master level.
  • Superpowered Eviler Side
  • Undying Loyalty: Xyrafus' loyalty to the Dark Lord is absolute, and one of the main reasons why he holds the position of Scourge (the foremost law enforcer in the Union, charged with dealing with treachery by whatever means necessary).

Darth Exolus

The absolute pacifist is a tyrant. Times come when force must be used to uphold justice, and ideals.

Born nearly sixty years before the rise of the Galactic Empire, Karai Narat iv-Adas, later known as the dreaded Sith Lord, Darth Exolus is a Red Sith, the native species of Korriban. Intended to become the next King of Korriban by his extended family, the boy was sent to Tund when his acute sensitivity to the Force began manifesting itself. Trained on Tund by a Jedi Hermit named Suun Jool, the two scoured the Centrality, fighting against petty criminals, injustice and evil. The two grew closer, siring a daughter together. Her death during the crossfire between Republic and Confederacy caused him unbelievable anguish.

Steeling himself, he devoted the remainder of his early years isolated from people, helping those in need across the Centrality Sector. After seeing so much death and evil, even so close to the Core Worlds, mirroring the situation on Korriban, Karai decided he required the power neccessary to become a vanguard of justice. Thus, he sought out the inheritors of his people's power; The Sith Order. His travels eventually found his way to New Bethrezen, and became a Sith Lord, christened Darth Exolus. After Korriban was attacked by the treacherous Lady Vidia, he was named the new Sith King, and began moving his people away from the Obsidian Union, coming to odds with his peers, and the man he once called brother.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Ace Pilot: Having spent most of his teenage years around starships, taking them apart and putting them back together, Exolus is a very proficient pilot, and is easily one of the best in the entire Brotherhood.
  • Aliens Speaking English: Subverted. Exolus speaks Galactic Basic since he was taken off-planet at a young age, and raised in the care of Basic-speaking Sith, as well as being trained by a Jedi Master from the Core Worlds.
    • He's still perfectly fluent in his native tongue, he just speaks it with an accent.
  • An Officer and a Gentleman: Exolus treats those under his command fairly, and as equals. Never punishing a soldier for doing their job, those under his command are understandably comfortable in his presence, as he's highly unlikely to throttle them to death with his mind.
  • Awesome By Analysis: With his Mastery of the Niman form, Exolus, dual-wielding, deliberately makes openings in his defence, and simply parries when his opponent tries to exploit said gaps.
    • He is effectively fighting a step ahead of his opponents.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: His position as Sith Emperor comes with certain perks.
    • Being able to throw high-valued politicians in jail without trial for one.
  • Awesome Yet Practical: Though Sith clothing and armor are designed to be extravagant, Exolus ensures that the materials his are made from are at least partially resistant to lightsabers, such as armorweave cloth and lightweight medium armor.
    • His ships are also quite cool-looking, modified vessels.
      • This is due to his constant goal of pushing starships, and his piloting skills to the limits.
  • Badass Army: His personal commandoes, the Sentinels, can be classed as this.
    • They're mostly made up of elite commandos, and terrifying assassins that use psychological warfare as much as physical combat.
  • Badass Boast: Then I'll make you drown in your ideals and die.
    • He says the above to the Dark Lord.
  • Badass Grandpa: Exolus is seventy years old.
    • Subverted -- he was only ever a father, and such an age is considered young by Pureblood standards. His species can live for over three centuries.
  • Batman Gambit: Exolus plays to his position of power, and who he's descended from to get pretty much every Sith on Korriban behind him.
    • Some, however, didn't quite feel like following.
  • Berserk Button: Korriban, his daughter, and his brother. All of which have been pressed. At the same time.
  • Blue Blood: Though not strictly a noble, Exolus' family were highly respected thousands of years ago. These days they've been relegated to the City of Ur's caretakers.
    • The Adas' are technically nobility, but that's due to their descendance from King Adas.
      • Exolus' biological connection to whom is marginal.
  • Chain of Deals: He's made sure to keep his options open by offering neutrality with the Republic should the Union turn on him, in exchange for genetic treatment for his people.
  • Character Alignment: Chaotic Neutral. Despite being a Sith, he seeks a balance inside himself. Something that is incredibly hard to attain according to the Spirits of the ancient Sith. Nevertheless, he strives for it relentlessly, pursuing an ever-distant utopia.
  • Cool Ship: Sovereign.
    • Let us define how cool it is. It originally started out as a light patrol craft with no hyperdrive and basic weaponry. Exolus turned it into a dedicated warship with a powerful hyperdrive and equally-powerful weapons.
  • Curb Stomp Battle: Though it's not him that does the stomping.
    • In fairness, he does manage to hold his own fairly well for a short while.
  • Determinator: His Master has trained him so rigorous and brutally conditioned him to pain. Though he feels it, by drawing on it can simply amplify his rage, thus making him stronger. As such he can last much longer in combat, and his fighting spirit is nigh-unbreakable.
    • in simplier terms, he only stops fighting when he's either unconscious or dead.
      • This makes him that much more dangerous. But it lowers his higher brain function, and seriously risks putting him into a coma.
  • Dual-Wielding: His brother, Karys, aka Darth Lucifer, suggested that he learn how to do this after he was nearly killed in a two-on-one fight when his double-bladed lightsaber was hacked in two, forcing him to fight with a fallen Jedi's lightsaber.
    • He then constructed two new lightsabers that can link together and form a twin-bladed one.
  • Dying Race: There's about 300,000 Sith Purebloods left alive, and even less Red Sith.
  • Eyes of Gold: As with all members of his species, Exolus has yellowish-gold eyes.
    • They can flare up a darker
  • Expy: His starship, Sovereign is styled after Mass Effect's concept for the Normandy SR1.
  • General Badass
  • God-Emperor: Adas was considered to be a living God by the Sith. Exolus is descended from him, and although the blood relation is incredibly weak, some of the more esoteric sects of old Sith religion hail Adas' descendants as demi-gods.
  • Good Is Not Dumb
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language Sithese. He has a tendency to curse, and occassionaly converse with his brother. So the odd word tends to pop out.
    • One must remember that for most of his youth he was taken from his home planet, and learned Basic under Suun Jool.
  • Guile Hero
  • Hot Teacher: His lover, Suun Jool. An Epicanthix Jedi Master that was exiled for being too passionate.
    • Unfortunately, Exolus and Suun were caught in the middle of a firefight between Imperial and Rebel Forces, resulting in the latter's death, leading to Exolus seeking a way to save everyone in his life.
  • Heel Face Turn: After Korriban gets kicked every which way from Saturday, Exolus has a firm disagreement with the new Dark Lord (none other than his brother) and turns on the Union after they desire more from Korriban than he is willing to give.
    • This leads to the uneasy threat of civil war, and Exolus threatening the Union claiming he'll pass Bethrezen's location to the Republic, and the Jedi.
      • Which shows just how far he's willing to go to protect his people.
  • I Shall Taunt You: Exolus employs the use of Dun Moch, a technique designed to lower the enemy's morale by taunting.
    • Except he kind of uses Inverse Dun Moch, and reasons with people, calming them.
  • Hellish Pupils Though Sith Purebloods do not possess it, Exolus has a majority of Red Sith DNA, and as such, he possess the slit-like pupils Red Sith have.
  • Human Aliens
  • In Its Hour of Need: Exolus takes the fact that he was thrust the position of Emperor as a ploy to make him crack under immense pressure, in his stride, and charges out to face a daunting enemy in the name of Korriban.
    • His success is mixed when Korriban is nearly destroyed.
      • Exolus calmly states the old adage of the weak feed the strong.
  • Kick Them While They Are Down: Hoo boy... first he's betrayed by his cousin, wounded severely, his cousin leads a rebellion against him, which he does not successfully quash until they decide to torment him by giving him ultimate power on Korriban, (making him their leader) 'whilst' the planet is under seige from someone he once respected. his home city is orbitally bombarded, his daughter is killed, and he himself is beaten up twice.
    • Though he does catch a brief glimpse of the realization of his goals and ideals.
  • Made of Iron: Not strictly. His Master, Darth Marda taught him a special Force Technique called Crucitorn. It allows him to reflect damage from his body with the Force, which is what gives him his incredible resistance to pain.
  • No Social Skills: Having spent decades in isolation, he doesn't quite click with certain non-Sith social nuances.
    • This is why he isn't unbelievably wise, world-weary or an expert at socializing. He is failable, and almost human.
  • Not Quite Human: His species is more reptillian than mammal. They still retain the same bipedal stance.
    • Save for the Massassi.
  • Offered the Crown: Literally. Exolus' opposition, before he became something of a know-it-all on Korriban deliberately threw him a bone, Emperor of Korriban, in the hopes he would crack under the pressure, and Korriban would see what a pathetic idiot he was.
    • This doesn't go to plan.
  • Older Than They Look: Justified. The effects of aging don't show in Purebloods until later life.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He alone, rushes to face Lady Vidia, the woman who invaded Korriban, and a former Dark Lady.
    • He's also frighteningly close to uniting Korriban as one. Something that hasn't been done since Emperor Vitiate.
  • Some Call Me... Tim: He often prefers that people refer to him as Karai, instead of needlessly affixing his surname and paternal lineage.
    • He's also forsaken his annointed Darth title, calling it his "slave name."
  • Sufficiently Advanced Aliens: The Red Sith stake a bold claim to have comprehended the Rakatan Hyperdrive long before anyone else.
    • Justified, since their species is entirely Force-Sensitive.
  • Super Mode: Exolus can temporarily tap into his rage, combine it with Crucitorn, and essentially numb himself to pain for a short while.
    • Whilst he doesn't feel the pain, his body still registers it, and will eventually put him into a coma if he is hurt enough.
  • Superior Species: The Sith can live longer, are naturally strong with the Force, and are more physically able than Humans.
    • All their senses are heightened, owed to their species being a predatory one.
      • And yet they're still a dying race with a long history of defeats.
        • Of course, Kissai (the caste Exolus belongs to) recieve a -2 penalty to their Strength Stat.
  • The Fettered: Exolus believes in a strong sense of honor. As such, he refuses to needlessly kill, assess situations to reduce casualties, civillian or otherwise, and show a level of respect he feels the Jedi Knights rightfully deserve.
    • He's also fond of letting his defeated enemies die with honor, rather than suffer, as most Sith would.
  • The Smart Guy
  • The Strategist
  • Training from Hell: He was shunned by the Sorcerors of Tund, and trained unconventionally by Suun Jool. He also underwent serious physical and mental conditioning under his master, Darth Marda.
  • Warrior Prince: See Royals Who Actually Do Something.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He's willing to strive for a peaceful, united galaxy, but does not believe that there is such a thing as Dark and Light, and that the Jedi are too stoic to take radical steps neccessary to save everyone, whilst the Sith are too bloodthirsty and warmongering to allow them to rule. However, he chooses to undergo Sith training, as the New Sith Brotherhood is a lesser evil. One he is willing to be part of in order to realize his ideals.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: Has done this on Korriban, convincing both Clan Sadow and Graush to support him, while undermining Clan Kressh should they start trouble.
  • Killed My Daughter
    • He goes suitably crazy and hunts down her murderer, and thus ensues a fight where he holds his own against an opponent far stronger than him.

Darth Ares

No. A million is an atrocity.

A description of the character goes here.

Darth Vanno

Only the insane have strength enough to prosper. Only those who prosper may truly judge what is sane.

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Ambiguous Disorder: Sometimes when in a completely all-out serious matter he starts to goof around. One time he pulled out a flask of rum and started taking sips, just because he had been bored with the challenger. Another time Vanno had covered a certain friend in pancakes and syrup only after tying him up, then put him in a giant box and sent the box off as a present.
  • Be All My Sins Remembered: Vanno has done a couple things he regrets, but has vowed to make amends to the people he hurt. Through his good deeds that he had done, he still doesn't see himself as good enough.
  • Bookworm: Loves to read many books, mostly about past historical events. Other times he reads scrolls, parchments, and holy books that pertain to certain cultures just out of curiosity.
  • Character Alignment: Chaotic Good. Overall, he's one of the less easy to define members of the Brotherhood; he's got mostly good and bad elements to him. He's a character that desires good without bias for or against order.
  • A Chat with Satan: The Daemon within knows Vanno's evil. It taunts him, forcing Vanno to slowly slip into its grip. He needs to face it head on and destroy it before it consumes him.
  • Collector of the Strange: Has a habit to sometimes collect strange items that appeal to him. Collects fingers, ears, bones, trinkets, tails, rocks, animals, and anything else he could grab that would let him remember the event, enemy, or challenge better.
  • Drunken Master: Vanno hasn't figured it out, but he does everything better when intoxicated.
  • Dynamic Entry: Loves to go for the surprise tactic of entering. If inviting him to your home and expect him to come from the front door, don't. Vanno would rather pop out of the ground, or through the roof, maybe even the wall.
  • Fluffy Tamer: Friend with animals and has a dream of becoming a Beast Lord. Owns a pet shop on New Bethrezen, selling "best friends" to any and all.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Willing to save a person, but later scold them on their stupidity. Once saved a small village of tribals that had been threatening a pirate encampment, later scolded them on their stupidity of placing their village close to the encampment even though they claimed it had been their holy land.
  • I Am What I Am: He's psychotic at times, and acts unlike the other Sith; part of it due to the daemon within him. Many disapprove of his behaviour, and only some accept it. Though not a souls knows of his Daemon.
  • I Can Still Fight: Even if hurt, Vanno will shrug it off and keep fighting. He will not go down easily regardless, and will fight to the last breath.
  • Kung Fu Wizard: Quite skilled at hand-to-hand fighting and utilizing force powers to achieve maximum damage.
  • Life of the Party: Usually tends to bring most of the excitement to any party; goes wild half the time, and takes the party to the streets.
  • Mad Dreamer: Dreams of the impossible. Thinks of the insane. Plans to prove to everyone that anything is possible with enough will.
  • Man Hug: Not afraid to go in for a hug towards his bro-Siths.
  • Mugging the Monster: Known to have scared a group of pirates enough to have them give Vanno all their valuables along with their pants. Not afraid of anything, but the Daemon within him.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Loves to get close to people and make them feel awkward.
  • Pet the Dog: Will stop to pet any animal even if on an extremely important mission. There will always be time to treat the animal a nice treat. He adopted his pet Borhek, Karmen, after finding it hurt and scared in the jungles far outside a gladiatorial arena.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Vanno's body is host to a Daemon that has a habit of chatting with him about various things.

Darth Drakonis

It would be easy to place blame on someone else, to think that you were pushing me too hard, or that maybe if you hadn't been so obsessed with Amoratta, you might have appreciated what I had accomplished instead of wishing you had two perfect apprentices. But that's not what you taught me, Master... By your own example, you taught me to face up to my mistakes.

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Batman Gambit: Using the tension between Lucifer and Exolus, he (truthfully) tells Lucifer that there are people among the brotherhood who doubt his leadership, using the threat of another schizm, while the brotherhood is still rebuilding from the last, and Lucifer's inherent pride to convince the Dark Lord to grant him additional training to speed his progress to knighthood and, by extension, towards the office of Grand Inquisitor... Later, he realizes just how selfish it was.
  • Character Development: His argument with Ares made him realize his faults, causing him to undertake The Journey To Find Oneself
  • Jack of All Stats: As opposed to his master, Darth Ares, who is as close to a Glass Cannon or Squishy Wizard as a Sith Knight can get, Drakonis has higher than average strength and agility, average toughness and force-ability, and strong force of personality and intelligence.
  • Journey to Find Oneself: After he and Ares have a falling out, he goes to Xaos's tomb to figure out what exactly it is that he wants.
  • Kinetic Weapons Are Just Better: You can't reflect a bullet with a lightsabre. You can block it, you can disintegrate it, but once it's fired, it isn't coming back at you.
  • Manipulative Bastard: His entire friendship with Dufre' started with Drakonis attempting to develop a friendly relationship and thereby avoid a rival in the Inquisitorius. He does value Dufre' as a friend, however. Every relationship he develops, even for political reasons, are real to him. And he's starting to move away from this after his argument with his Master.
  • Oh Crap During his training, he had to jump out of a pit. It was to teach him to trust his instincts and use the force... He stopped half a meter short, and had to fall the whole way back down... he's a little more vulgar when no one else is around.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: Double Subversion- He's from a race of badass reptiles, but he's a politician, but he's still got their racial strength.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: "This! Is not! A rapier!" his response to Ares's constant shouts of "footwork!" during a training session. To be fair, Drakonis is using a bastard sword, which isn't the most wieldy of weapons.
  • Rousing Speech: He gives one of these before the Battle of New Brethrezen, channelling Patton towards the end and (unbeknowst to his player) at the begining, and Fight Club.

Lady Hecate

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Lady Loon

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Ambadassador: Like both Lucifer and Exolus, Loon sees herself as an Ambassador for the Massassi people.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Loon Second In Command of House Maiesta, giving her considerable authority within the house and over the Marauders in general. Being a Marauder herself, she's one of the more combat-capable members of the Brotherhood.
  • Awesome Yet Practical: Her lightwhip, which (despite being a notoriously difficult and dangerous weapon to use effectively) she's extremely effective with. Were she not, it probably wouldn't be all that practical for her to use.
  • Battle Couple: Loon and Lucifer, though it's fairly rare that they fight together.

Darth Amorata

I like puppets. They're entirely predictable. ...Entirely controllable.

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Squishy Wizard: Slightly below average strength and endurance, high Force strength. With both her and Ares, this may become a tradition for Miraluka.

Kairlin Dufre'

Activate Sexy Stare!

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • A Glass of Chianti: Kairlin drink of choice is Emerald Wine, vintage 3 ABY to be precise
  • Character Alignment: Lawful Selfish. Kairlin's in it for number one but he still holds himself to the code of brotherhood, even if he only sees it as a device to meet his selfish goals.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose In Life: When Kairlin first joined the Inquisitorius it was on his father's orders and Kairlin proceeded, with a desire to become something more.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He's nice to everyone he meets, but underneath it all he doesn't give a damn.
  • It Amused Me: After everything Kairlin has gone through, this is all that is left of his motivations.
  • Master Actor: As a famous and varied actor Kairlin honed his skills to a fine point, even waltzing out of his prison disguised as the captain of the facility .
  • Not a Morning Person: When Kairlin was woke after 25 years of slumber he wasn't his cordial self.
  • The Charmer: He is a incorrigible flirt, and very attractive.
  • The Dark Side Will Make You Forget: As time went on the nature of his work drained his ambition to find something more.
  • The Sacred Darkness: To quote Kairlin: "In the darkness there is true freedom. In the darkness we are all equal. No one is judged by there appearance, or race, any deformities unseen."
  • Perpetual Expression: Kairlin always smiles, a pleasant friendly smile, that invites one to share their life story with him.
  • We Used to Be Friends: This applies to Kairlin and Shyther. Shyther was Kairlin's informant when he worked for the Inquisitorius.
  • Wicked Cultured: Kairlin was born to a privileged royal family and was brought up as such; learning a basic understanding of cultural faux paus, wearing fine sith robes, enjoying expensive meals of Braised Larkin Nerf and emerald wine, to the accompaniment of a Sith opera would be a perfectly delightful evening for Kairlin Dufre'.
  • Thinking Out Loud: Does this often due to his film history, where he would often monologue to convey information to the audience.

Taynilla Vorht

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Desperately Craves Affection: The reason she acts as she does.
