  • The first book of the series unfortunately shares its name with the fan-given name for a popular Supernatural pairing: Sabriel, Sam Winchester/Gabriel the Archangel.
    • Of course, the book significantly predates the series (and thus, naturally, the pairing). This troper first read the book in 2003; it was published in 1995. Supernatural debuted in 2005.
