"I can't do this alone."

• In Mei's Overwatch bio, it was stated that she was part of the Overwatch Eco-Point that was station in Antarctica, that her friends and fellow scientists died from a freak accident.
  • When the "Rise and Shine" short came out, we see how ALL of this happened.
• Widowmaker's backstory, she used to be a ballerina, Amélie Guillard, who eventually married to Gerald Lacroix. But that made her a target for Talon, who eventually kidnapped her, submitted her under brutal experiments, and training, thus transforming her into an assassin that managed to kill her own husband.
• In lore, Lena Cox was regarded as having died in an experimental flight experiment, this was months of grief for Overwatch, especially Lena's own girlfriend, Emily. When she was found, it turns out that she's slowly fading out of existence from contacting "chronal disassociation."
• Hanzo thinking that he killed his little brother, Genji.
• The ending of the "Alive" trailer, where Widowmaker managed to assassinate Tekhartha Mondatta, a peace advocating Omnic monk who worked to mend the rift between humans and Omnics.
