  • The Anime of the Game: Inverted with Pokemon Puzzle League, which is one of the only games in the entire Pokémon franchise to take most of its cues from the anime. While Pokemon Yellow focused on the series' Third Option Adaptation of having Pikachu as your starter and the appearance of Team Rocket's Terrible Trio, Puzzle League goes all the way and features the anime characterizations of the cast.
  • No Export for You: The Panel de Pon sequel in Nintendo Puzzle Collection, never saw release outside of Japan.
    • Hell, the original game was never exported, only repackaged. It's a surprise the rest of the world knows the story of the Fairies at all!
  • Remade for the Export: Also Uncanceled for the Export, in the case of Pokémon Puzzle League. The original game, a sequel to the original Panepon, never saw a Japanese release on the N64... until it was finally included in Nintendo Puzzle Collection years later.
  • What Could Have Been: It appears that Pokémon Puzzle Challenge (GBC) was also going to be an original Panepon game. At least the N64 version got luckier.
