• Charlotte's fall into suicidal despair as Cyndi manipulates her into thinking there's no way for her to atone and change.
• Duane weeping, in the last panel of the arc, because he was unable to prevent Charlotte from doing what she did to Cyndi and to herself. However, the heartwarming elements in the same page mitigate the sadness to a great extent.
