• A lot in the various Planescape books, including most entries penned by Xanxaost the slaad:
  • The whole idea of mephit vendetta code, which ends with "Mephits are never given to friends, as anyone who has met one understands."
  • Xanxaost: Mmm... mephits.
• The NPC quotes that show up in sidebars of most of the Guidebooks and Splatbooks are like this. For example, one of them is from a judge who is willing to dismiss murder charges against a Prime who slaughtered three gehreleths (as he had just arrived in Sigil and did not know where he was), but does not dismiss a charge for mispronouncing the word "Sigil", calling such an act unforgivable.
