A Fanfic written as a poem. Surprisingly, it is usually introspective or just angsty rather than romantic. No characters or events from the source material need be mentioned by name. In fact, a Poem Fic often includes one of these notations:

• "Guess which character would write this."
• "I wrote this five years ago, just found it at the bottom of a drawer, and thought it fit this character."
• "I wrote this for an English class."
