Pokémon Gijinka Mystery Dungeon

A Tegaki E Roleplay group loosely based off of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, and the first of Tegaki E's Pokémon gijinka groups. Takes place in Dewbridge Forest, home of the Venusaur Guild, which on occassion actually functions as a guild. The main tag can be found here

Back from the Dead: A few characters have been killed off and brought back as ghost pokemon.
Backstory: Quite a few characters have had at least some parts of theirs shown, and in the earlier days of the group there was quite a bit of focus on fleshing out characters' backstories.
Beach Episode
Beauty Contest: The recent fashion design contest doubled as this.
Break the Cutie/Badass/Haughty: Lots of characters seem to have some form of this in their backstory.
Date Peepers: Creepstopher for Mui and Jude, Bane when trying to get Tonya and Aron together.
Dead All Along: Bane. Also applies to Icu, though he was the only one unaware.
Deadly Upgrade: Bane learning double team. One is plenty to ruin all the things. Add on that it lets him work with his Super-Powered Evil Side...
Despite the Plan: Sometimes events don't go quite as the mods planned.
Don't Go in The Woods: Considering it's full of Bane, other crazy NPCs and sometimes the more lethal members of MPG, it's a wonder so many people feel safe just hanging out in the woods.
Eyes Always Shut: Tonn and Skree, before evolving.
- A few of the cyndaquils apped to the group are an aversion of this for their species, being open-eyed.
Fanservice: Sexy baton and naked baton obviously. Kiss batons also.
- Fan Disservice: any of the above involving Enab.
Fantastic Racism: Prejudices against certain species or types of pokemon have been outright said or implied for a few characters.
Fish Out of Temporal Water: Several characters in the Dialga event, especially those time warped to being children, or in the case of Mui, back to being a human.
Freaky Friday Flip: What happens when a Manaphy decides to test the guild's ability to cooperate with each other in times of need. Hilarity Ensues.
Ghost Amnesia: There seems to be a trend of ghosts who don't remember how they died.
Ghost Shipping: Si'var and Carrie, and there has been at least a few living characters who seemed to take interest in ghosts. At least two members of the guild are the result of a ghost shipping.
He Who Must Not Be Seen: Sanderson, the former leader of the Marshpool Gang, was this for quite a while. The guild master himself seems to be becoming this.
Hot Springs Episode: An event, and also a few individual posts from players.
Hot Amazon: Tonya.
I Am Not Shazam: A surprising number of people seem to think the Venusaur Guild is called PGMD.
Intergenerational Friendship: The lack of any kind of age limit (in either direction) has created a few of these, some being on the absurd side.There were several teams at one point with a child as young as six working with teenagers and adults.
Interspecies Romance: There's fewer pairings between characters of the same species than between characters of completely different egg groups.
Let's Get Dangerous: Most notable example being Vin.
Loads and Loads of Characters: Both group-wide and player specific. While some entries are updates for existing characters, the app tag is up to almost 920 entries, not counting apps that are still in the main tag from before app tag existed. On the player level, though the starting limit is two characters, graduations allow players to get an extra character slot for each character they've apped within a certain time frame. With the group now up to five graduations, some members who have been around from the beginning now have the option of having up to 10 characters.
Love Is in the Air: The 2011 Valentine's Day event involved Joy Dust that made people fall in love with objects.
Masquerade Ball: The guild's first anniversary was celebrated with one.
Moe Anthropomorphism: The premise of the group.
Misplaced Wildlife: The occasional appearance of normal pokemon amongst pokemon gijinka can seem a bit jarring to some players.
Never Learned to Read: Quite a few characters are apparently illiterate.
New Super Power: Pretty much anytime someone learns a new move.
No Biological Sex: Several characters, being gijinkas of genderless pokemon.
Non-Player Character: Used in several events. Technically the Marshpool Gang is considered this, as the characters are mostly event exclusive.
Not Himself: The pokerus event. Poffins and vitamins contaminated with pokerus turned the consumers into exaggerated stereotypes based on the flavor of poffin they ate, or made them extremely aggressive if they took a vitamin.
Older Than They Look: Eva is the best example- looks (and thinks she is) 10 years old, but is actually 18.

Our Founder /Bizarrchitecture: Many, many guildmembers have questioned Vin's choice for Venusaur Cavern's design.

Our Ghosts Are Different: Ghosts at the guild vary. There are several ghosts who were human and became ghost pokemon when they died, others who were pokemon before they died, and a few who were "born" ghosts, like Zero- who even has a heartbeat.
Overnight Age-Up: Several characters age jump on evolution.
Punny Name: The guild master is a venusaur named Vincent Suarez.
Put on a Bus: Happens quite a bit due to the character limits.
Rule of Funny: The last two Valentine's Day events seemed to run on this. Valentine's 2010 involved the guild unknowingly purchasing candies made with Pinkan Berries, causing half the guild to temporarily turn pink. 2011 brought a well meaning Togekiss with some very potent joy dust that made people fall in love with inanimate objects. Bane's performance re-enacting the guild's first Valentine's event also applies.
Stealth Hi Bye: Vin is a master of this.
Super-Powered Evil Side / Evil Twin: "Him"
The Good Guys Always Win: The Marshpool Gang is pretty much set up to fail no matter what whenever they go after the guild. YMMV on whether or not this is a good thing.
The Cooks Who Don't Cook Anything: Abbi is the guild cook. No one has ever seen her cook, or even be in the kitchen. It's a lot more common to see guild members cooking for themselves.
