Ponibooru is an Image Booru site, based on the Danbooru style, dedicated to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Unlike most other 'Booru's, this one has closely affiliated users and also a truly massive amount of meta. The site is home to a vast variety of images; from Fan Art to screenshots, and from edits to meta.

Tropes used in Ponibooru include:

BabblingBrooke: Ponibooru isn't as much an image board as it is a Social Media site. Like a forum where chatrooms are made via pictures.

  • Chew Toy: The Fluffy ponies.
  • Color Coded for Your Convenience: The text of the Mods' handles are always red, while the regular users' are blue.
  • Eldritch Abomination: According to the tags, G3.5 and the "So Soft" toys.
  • Fan Disservice/ No Yay: Occasional, intentional meta examples of this can be found on the site.
  • Forced Meme: wut_if_gummy_wuz_a_meme among many, many others.
  • GIFT: The site has had occasional trouble from several Anons, i.e. one in particular who comments with inappropriate pornography on 'Safe' images an another (a likely spambot) who voids tags and spams in comments, causing massive slowdowns and almost nearly compromising the site.
  • Interactive Comic: Has its own at [1] [dead link], or just simply [2] [dead link]
  • Interrupting Meme: Dolan the Duck and Hentai Woody.
  • Live Stream: Occasionally on Fridays, a number of the site's members[1] host a livestream of a movie and crack a few jokes over it, while the rest of the community participates through the livestream.
  • Internet Backlash: The PPPP. That is all.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Mostly averted, because the site is about holding just about every pony-related image there is. Porn used to be against the rules which meant porn images that popped up and quickly vanished from the site had to be kept saved by others and reuploaded every now and then. Later porn was allowed except for underage pony characters, which was later allowed and dubbed "foalcon". Lolicon/shotacon of humanized ponies is not allowed (for legal reasons; loli/shota in US law can be illegal if it crosses a subjective line), meaning that such images are the new tapes to circulate.
  • Mascot: Roboshi--one of Ponibooru's own members--is often referred to as this. He even has his own Celebrity Blog dedicated here.
  • Name's the Same: There's a 'Navi' tag, which has results for both the sprite from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and an OC pony.
  • Not Safe for Work: The site does contain NSFW images, but it is limited to a 'Content Preferences' feature tab at the top of the page. The default user cannot see totally NSFW images at all and cannot see thumbnails (covered by yellow and black diagonal lines of caution) of lesser NSFW images.
  • Pass the Popcorn: A few users did this when Harlequin_Jester and ZePassionateOne began a .gif war.
  • Running Joke: Tagging an image with "Roboshi_will_never_fav_this"[2]
    • Somebody replying "Bolan, pls" whenever the user named Bolan makes a comment.
    • Dance .gif threads.
