- Affectionate Parody: Being it's a send-up of both Disney itself and its fandom.
- Bad Powers, Good People: Something of a mystery why Snow White and Aurora held onto the poisoned apple and cursed spinning wheel, but it's fortunate they did.
- Badass Princess: All of them! See for yourself. Cinderella goes so far as to break one of her glass slippers to use like a shiv!
- Cyberspace: The main setting of the film as Ralph and Vanellope venture the internet.
- Damsel in Distress: Defied, obviously intentional; the Princesses (who tend to traditionally have this role) are the ones who save Ralph.
- Demoted to Extra: Fix-it Felix and Sergeant Calhoun are minor characters compared to the first film.
- Designated Victim: Discussed. The scene with Vanellope and the Princesses seems to imply they consider this part of the job description, which alarms Vanellope.
- Dream Team: Every Disney Princess in one film at the same time, a Disney first. They even managed to get all the original still-living VAs. Only Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora needed theirs replaced; while Julie Nathanson has taken over the role of Belle in recent Disney Princess material, Belle's original voice actress Paige O'Hara reprised her role in this film.
- Everything's Better with Princesses: The Disney Princess characters became the scene stealers in the film especially when they donned their contemporary casual outfits. Their appearance in the film became so popular that it spawned the "Comfy Squad" sub-line with merchandise inspired by their modernized renditions.
- Loads and Loads of Characters: There are a lot of video game and Disney characters appearing in this film.
- Self-Parody: On Disney's part, with quite a lot of Self-Deprecation thrown in.
- Spotlight-Stealing Squad: The Disney Princesses.
- The Stinger:
- Ralph overfeeds a bunny with pancakes on an internet game.
- Ralph rickrolls the audience as a Frozen II teaser shows up.
- The Virus: Arthur.
