The calendar system in Rance revolves around the current Archfiend alive, with its name used for enumerate years. The end of an era always means the beginning of a new one, namely the replacement of the previous Archfiend.

At the time of Rance X, the year is currently LP0007 through LP0008.

Beginning - Unrecorded Era (The time before the Archfiend System)

???? - Rudrathaum comes into existence and wanders the eternal space void.
???? - Rudrathaum realizes his feelings, it was boredom.
???? - In order to ease his boredom Rudrathaum creates the Continent, along with the Holy Beasts to keep it afloat.
???? - Rudrathaum creates the three Sublime Gods with who are each tasked with creating life on the Continent.
- ???? - Sublime God Planner creates the Planner Scenario.
- ???? - Sublime God Harmonitt creates the Gods Hierachy.
- ???? - Sublime God Roven-Pan creates the Protagonist Race, starting with the Round Ones.
  - ???? - Leftovers of Rudrathaum after creating the Three Sublime Gods gain self-awareness and become Devil King Rathaum.
  - ???? - Rathaum creates the Devil Realm as a hiding place to gather strength and creates several Devils with the ultimate objective to supplant Rudrathaum as the Creator God. After ordering his army to collect Souls from deceased living beings, he enters hibernation.
???? - The Round Ones start living in the Continent.
???? - Planner creates the enemy of the Round Ones, the Shellfish.
???? - The Round Ones and Shellfish start hunting each other for the sake of survival.
- ???? - Kkulf Kkulf becomes chief of the Round Ones.
???? - The battle between the Round Ones and the Shellfish end with the victory of the Round Ones and the extinction of the Shellfish of whom only their shells remain.

KuKu - Kkulf Kkulf Era

KuKu0001 - Planner creates the Blood Memories and the Archfiend System. Kkulf Kkulf is appointed as the first Archfiend, gaining eternal life and becoming a giant monstrosity. The era of Kkulf Kkulf has begun.
KuKu???? - The Round Ones are exterminated since they are deemed as failures for failing to entertain Rudrathaum.
KuKu???? - Roven-Pan creates the second Protagonist Race, the immortal Dragons.
- KuKu???? - Planner creates new monsters, more specifically, Chasobas and Chatsumis who will serve as enemies to the new Protagonist Race.
- KuKu???? - Roven-Pan creates sub-species to the Protagonist Race, the Haniwa and Poppins.
- KuKu???? - Harmonitt also creates a sub-species to the Protagonist Race, the Kalar who are designed to live on the Continent until they mature and ascend to godhood.
KuKu0??? - With the Archfiend System in place, Kkulf Kkulf becomes the enemy of the Dragons and a massive war breaks out between them.
KuKu0200 - A small and notoriously weak Lis Round One, Kayblis, is kidnapped by Kkulf Kkulf, who proceeds to give him its blood as an experiment. This results in the creation of the first Fiend.
KuKu2014 - After two millennia, the war between Kkulf Kkulf and the Dragons ends with the victory of the Dragons with the cowardly Dragon Abel sneakily landing the finishing blow.

AV - Abel Era

AV0001 - Abel is bathed in the blood of Kkulf Kkulf and accidentally swallows some of its blood, thus becomes the next Archfiend. The era of Abel has begun. He quickly goes into hiding and as a result, is mostly ignored by the Dragons.
AV0??? - The Horus' spaceship is found by Abel, defended by the extraterrestrial Meglass who made himself a name by tirelessly repelling monster attacks. Upon meeting him, Abel bargains the life of his cryogenically frozen crew in exchange of becoming his servant. Meglass reluctantly accepts and becomes the second Fiend.
AV00?? - Abel sneakily kidnaps Dragon Queen Camilla from the Dragon King's Castle. The event is notable as Camilla was the only female Dragon designed by the Gods for breeding means, and she was turned into a Fiend, effectively ending any hope of reproduction for Dragons.
AV0011 - Since only the Dragon King Maggihwa, strongest of them all, was allowed to claim Camilla as his wife, Abel willingly violated one of the sacred rules of the Dragons. As a consequence, the "Last War" starts, opposing dragonkind and the Archfiend's army.
AV0056 - The "Last War" ends with Abel's defeat in a one-on-one duel against Maggihwa. However, to prevent the creation of another Archfiend, the Dragons sealed Abel in a inescapable dark pit for the rest of his eternal life. Afterwards, the Nation of Tron was founded and the Continent knew its first peaceful era, free of conflict, war and discrimination.
AV0060 - The Creator God Rudrathaum grows extremely bored of the peaceful world of the Dragons.
AV0061 - The Dragons are deemed as failures by the Gods. An army made of Angel Knights and lesser Gods starts a genocide to exterminate them. In order to create an good entertainment for the Creator God, they are slowly exterminated over the course of several centuries. Among them, Dragon Kalars and Dragon Poppins were painfully melted alive. Only a handful survived.
AV0721 - Having learned from the previous Protagonists Races failure, Sublime God Roven-Pan creates the third Protagonist Race, Humans.

SS - Ssulal Era

SS0001 - Planner appoints Ssulal as the third Archfiend. The era of Ssulal has begun.
Unlike the previous Archfiends, her bloodlust wasn't as intense as them, causing her era to be relatively peaceful, while she merely hunted a few humans.
SS0??? - Word of Ssulal's existence falls on human ears, and gains a reputation as the "Queen of Monsters". Numerous adventurers attempted to take her down over the years.
SS02?? - The Insect User Galtia, known for repelling numerous attacks from monsters, is approached by Ssulal, who bribes him with luxurious food and convinces him to become a Fiend in order to protect her.
SS0300 - Having grown concerned for her own safety, Ssulal begins a long research to find a way to contact the Gods.
- Ssulal successfully gains an audience with Sublime God Planner, and asks him for a means of protection against attacks. He accepts in exchange of her eternal life, reduced to a lifespan of 1000 years.
- Ssulal and her Fiends are given the Invincibility Field, protecting them from any form of attack, except from other Fiends and beings outside of the Planner Scenario. The Hero System is also created to balance it, by selecting a human at random and giving him superpowers, along with the Escude Sword, whose power increases as humanity dies. The key percentages of humanity's death toll are:
  - 10%: Escude activates and becomes usable.
  - 30%: The Hero gains the ability to kill Fiends, bypassing their Invincibility Field.
  - 50%: The Hero gains the ability to kill the Archfiend.
- The AL Church is founded, to serve as a means for the Gods to manipulate human society.
SS0420 - The Kalar Kesselring becomes a Fiend and pleges loyalty to Ssulal, becoming a male in the process.
SS0500 - Ssulal suddenly dies, due to being considered as a prototype for the updated Archfiend System.

NC - Nighcisa Era

NC0001 - Planner appoints Nighcisa as the fourth Archfiend. The era of Nighcisa has begun.
NC0??? - The Magic Science user Kestina creates a magical parasitic gem called RedEye, whose power is to possess any living being to help humanity fight against the Archfiend.
- NC0??? - Before RedEye could be used in battle, Nighcisa overhears the existence of the project and managed to steal the gem for himself, and turns it into a Fiend.
NC0??? - Fire Kappa Xavier and Oni Lexington get turned into Fiends by Nighcisa at an unknown date.
NC0321 - A massive earthquake occurs in the far east, caused by Holy Beast Orochi's rampage. A large piece of land gets detached from the Continent afterwards, and is given the name Nippon.
- NC04?? - 2nd Class Goddess Amaterasu mistakenly opens several Hell Holes in Nippon, giving it access to Oni who periodically attack the country.
- NC0421 - As an apology for creating Hell Holes, Amaterasu gives Nipponese people several gifts: Creating the Tenma Bridge to keep Nippon afloat and connecting it to the main Continent, the Three Sacred Treasures of the Emperor as well as the position itself, and the recipe of Miso soup. Holy Beast Orochi enters into sleep and his presence creates mutants known as Youkai.
NC0467 - The young prodigy Pi-R creates a device able to bypass the Invincibility Field of the Fiends to directly extract their Blood Soul. After successfully killing a Fiend with it, with a strong desire to transcend his humanity, Pi-R choose to consume the Blood Soul and becomes a Fiend himself. Shortly after, he begins experiments to save her sister from a terminal illness.
NC0661 - Ishimaru Fujiwara is born in Nippon.
- NC0700 - After obtaining the Three Sacred Treasures, Fujiwara unifies Nippon under his banner and declares himself Emperor, allying with the Youkai King Kurobe and the Devil Monk Geppei, founder of the Tenshiism religion. He then starts an great conquest of the Continent and spreads Tenshiism along with the Nipponese language.
- NC0705 - Half of the Continent is conquered by Fujiwara. The Devils assisting him proceed to collects the Souls of the deceased, much to the horror of the Gods, all of them being made of Souls and reducing their power. They directly ask the Archfiend Nighcisa to put an end to the Nipponese warrior conquest. While he doesn't participate in the war itself, he tasks Dread Fiend Xavier to fight Fujiwara with an army of 2 millions monsters. His army began to repel most of the Nipponese forces, and Youkai King Kurobe is killed in battle.
- NC0706 - Fujiwara and Geppei engage in a final confrontation against Xavier. Because Fujiwara was unable to pierce his Invincibility Field, he was finally killed by Xavier after a fierce battle, but it left him exhausted enough for Geppei to seal him in a gourd. Following Fujiwara's death, most of the Continent declared independance from the Fujiwara House, leaving only Nippon as their main territory, with Geppei spent the last years of his life spreading Tenshiism and passing down techniques to keep Xavier sealed in the country. The Nipponese language is however successfully implemented in the main Continent and becomes the main language used by humanity.
- NC08?? - Having lost all of their influence, several provinces in Nippon declared independance from the Fujiwara House and the First Sengoku Period begins, with different Houses trying to unify the country and get the position of Emperor.
NC0901 - The East Opiros Empire, largest Human nation at the time, declares war to Archfiend Nighcisa, starting a conflict known as the "Annihilation War".
- Millions of humans perished at the hands of the Archfiend's Army, with the Empire being overwhelm from all sides. The conflict escalated until 50% of humanity was killed in the war.
NC09?? - A famous beauty and philosopher known as Jill starts travelling across the Continent to help those in need during the time of the war.
NC09?? - The Hero Quetabuno appears to help humanity with his augmentated powers, and challenges Nighcisa in a one-on-one duel. The battle ends with the Archfiend's victory, but the Hero left him with a grievous wound taking 40 years of his lifespan. Nighcisa and his army withdrew from the invaded areas, ending the "Annihilation War" and leaving a period of peace for humanity. Nighcisa then spent the rest of his life disguising as a human, searching for a successor until the end of his term.
NC0960 - Jill is captured by humans who despised her, and was tortured, mutilated and raped with her last moments being left on the road to die. Mere moments after, Nighcisa stumbled upon a dying Jill and, possibly feeling pity for the mutilated woman and sensing her great potential, proceed to give his blood to save her life.

JL - Jill Era

JL0001 - Jill inherits Nighcisa's blood and becomes the fifth Archfiend, and is taught about the Hero System. The era of Jill has begun.
JL0002 - In the span of one year, Jill proceeds to destroy every existing human nation, leaving only remote villages. Humanity is reduced into slavery.
JL00?? - To keep humanity at high percentages, Jill creates Human farms to prevent the Hero from killing her.
JL0012 - The Hero Akira attempts to defeat Jill, but as humanity is kept in high numbers, he's left unable to harm her and is quickly defeated and mutilated by the Archfiend, unable to die.
JL0??? - The Panaclonic Sieg, the Snake Lady Medusa, the Earth Dragon Noce and Ithere are all turned into Fiends.
JL0??? - Stroganoff, the world's strongest Monster, creates an elite group of Monsters named the Maereeta Squad.
JL05?? - Five talented adventurers band together to form a group that would be known as the Legendary Five, and start travelling all over the world to search for a way to break the Invincibility Field. Their members were: British the Hero, Chaos the Thief, Nikkou the Samurai, Ho-Raga the Mage, and Café Artful the Priestess.
JL0533 - The Legendary Five finally found a clue within the Ancient Ruins, the most dangerous dungeon of the world. Upon reaching its depths, they gathered several golden statues found in their adventures to unlock a passage to the God Realm, protected by a guardian. They manage to defeat it, but British is left severely wounded in the process, unable to follow his companions as their enter the gate. The four adventurers meet the Sublime God Planner, who offers them to grant a wish each.
- Chaos and Nikkou wish to have the "power to defeat the Fiends and the Archfiend".
- Ho-Raga wishes for the "ultimate knowledge", wanting to learn more about the Archfiend and her army.
- Café, in love with British and suffering self-esteem issues, secretly asks for the "ultimate beauty".
  - With some twisted humor, Planner grant their wishes along with immortality, even though they didn't ask for it: Chaos and Nikkou are both turned into swords, unable to move but with the ability to break the Invincibility Field, Ho-Raga gains full knowledge of the world, making him eternally bored and depressed after learning of humanity's role in the Planner Scenario, and Café is turned into the most beautiful woman of the world, which caused every man to lust for her.
- After recovering from his wounds, British manages to meet with his old companions, but none of them are willing to join him again, due to their experiences with Planner. He eventually gets trapped by an old enemy, who uses a powerful curse to trap him in concrete, making him immortal in the process.
JL07?? - Lei Gatthon, a notoriously powerful human, draws the attention of Jill, who then organizes a great hunt to recruit him. After fending countless Monsters by himself, he's eventually captured and turned into a Fiend by Jill, who found his stubbornness and determination amusing.
JL0??? - A misshapen Human Farm-born and powerful spell-blader by the name of Gai begins a journey to find a way to kill the Archfiend, after numerous tragedies caused by Fiends in his younger days. He eventually discovers Chaos, who accepts him as his wielder because of their similar goals, and some time after engaged Jill in a one-on-one battle.
- Despite being able to hurt her, he is swiftly defeated because of her tremendous powers. On the verge of defeat however, his split personality surfaced and was left unable to move which greatly intrigued Jill, enough for her to turn him into a Fiend.
- Over the years of her reign, Jill eventually found herself charmed by Gai's strength and character, and went on to give him more and more priveleges among other Fiends, eventually making him her lover and Representative Fiend, a title given to the most powerful Fiend in existence.
JL0??? - Getting closer to the end of her reign, Jill starts to fear death and begins a massive research in order to prolong her life.
JL0991 - 2nd Class Goddess La Vaswald, whose role is to extermine the Protagonist Race should their Soul become too corrupted, is eventually deemed worthless as this event never even came close to taking place. She was then split into twin Angels by the name of La Hawzel and La Seizel, and offered to Jill as a gift, who turned them into Fiends.
JL1000 - Using previous research left by the Archfiend Ssulal, Jill finds a way to contact the gods and gains an audience with the Sublime God Planner, wishing eternal life to be the Archfiend forever. She is then granted complete immortality and unaging, but her power is reduced to a mere five percent, for the sake of balance.
JL1004 - Over the course of four years, Gai launched a rebellion against Jill after the latter gained immortality. Allying with the Hero at the time wielding Nikkou, he eventually defeats Jill while using Chaos in a long and bloody battle. Because she was incapable of dying, Gai used a powerful spell-blading curse to trap her into a void dimension, using Chaos as the seal, thus ending her tyranny once and for all.
