• Breather Boss: Skops the Scorpion could very well be easier to defeat than Moskito. It's a little weird, since after Skops comes the final level where Mr. Dark presides.
• Breather Level: Blue Mountains can feel like this after some of the superhuman feats you have to pull off in Band Land. However, then in comes the snow-capped mountaintops of Mr. Stone's Peaks...
• Crowning Music of Awesome: The Hoodlum Wizard theme.
  • Madder, the opening theme for Rayman 3, is pretty badass, and the trailer that accompanies it is just as awesome. Unfortunately it's missing from the HD release. The video can be viewed here.
• Disappointing Last Level: The third game's ending phases are relatively lackluster compared to the rest of the game.
• Ensemble Darkhorse: Mr. Dark. He's currently only appeared once in the games, and is incredibly enigmatic, fans loved him, even when they never fought him. And he's returning for Rayman Origins!
  • Also Razoff from the third game.
• Most Annoying Sound: The baby Globoxes in The Great Escape. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP! CRYING!
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The giant spider you face at the beginning of the Canopy level in Rayman 2 has no doubt scared some players. The music that accompanies that part of the level doesn't help matters either.
  • For some it's the Knaaren of the 3rd game. Imagine being chased by psychotic, invincible beings with the innate desire to eat you.
    • "Brain...fresh brains!"
    • "Spit in his eye!"
  • The Zombie Chickens.
• Schedule Slip: "See you in Rayman 4!" Since Rayman 3 with that quote came out, there has been no Rayman 4 as of mid-2021.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2 is the first sign that you won't see Rayman for a while. Good thing another Rayman game was released on the 3DS.
  • You mean the port of the game that's already been ported to two Nintendo consoles? Yeah.
    • Doesn't matter there is still reason to be thankful, the game Rayman Origins goes back to focusing on the titular character and so far there's not a single Rabbid in sight in that game, plus even though it's being released on multiple gaming platforms, technically it is also coming out for the Nintendo 3DS as well, just next year, as the creators want to take time to take advantage of everything the 3DS has to offer.
