  • Award Snub: The Transformers fans and the Pirates of the Caribbean fans (and to an extent, the general public), were not pleased so to say when The Golden Compass got the Visual Effects award in 2008.
  • Special Effects Failure: Much of their post-2005 work is riddled with this and Conspicuous CG, The Golden Compass and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor especially. Possibly invoked with the dinosaurs in the Land of the Lost film.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: Face it, Aslan was pretty. Much of their pre-2005 work also qualifies (even if the movie that featured it, like Speed 2 or Batman & Robin, was total crap otherwise).
