Hana has a surprise for her class. She was asked to freewrite an essay about her hopes and dreams, and all she could think about writing was how much she'd love to strip naked and walk around town. Her friends in class can't believe it, and the manipulative Rei can't pass up an opportunity to push her forward. But once Hana gets a taste of true exhibitionism, even Rei isn't prepared for how far she goes.

Tropes used in Road of Clouds include:

Alpha Bitch: Rei, although she turns out to be pretty nice -- although she does like to instigate things with Hana. In the first chapter, Hana was about to let everything go, until Rei basically browbeat the class into letting Hana strip... then browbeat Hana into doing so when she wanted to back out cause Isawa was obviously uncomfortable with it.
Attempted Rape: It doesn't get to the point of outright rape, but it's clear that Totsukawa's group had nothing but bad intentions for Hana when they ambushed her after that first day. Later on, Totsukawa and Hana kinda-sorta-almost hook up, with Totsukawa being too shy to initially join in the exhibitionistic stuff Hana is leading.
Batman Gambit: Hana, Rei, and Isawa all plot to have Hana confess to being willing to do anything sexual with anyone in the class -- provided the class watches them do it, and Rei and Isawa agree to it. This is specifically done to prevent Totsukawa from doing anything untowards with Hana against her will, as he can't do so without making an enemy of the rest of the class.
Break the Badass: Totsukawa might be a thuggish looking badass, but put him in front of a crowd and he's barely able to function.
Comically Missing the Point: Hana's apology to Shimahara for her essay includes the line "I thought that I was being prudent; I never wrote anything about what I wanted to do with my pus–"
Conveniently-Common Kink: By the end of the series, everyone in the series is an exhibitionist of varying degrees, even the male students. However, it's less of a coincidence and more due to Hana's subtle manipulations. By constantly pushing the limit and getting the others to go along with her, she's corrupted them all, too. Even the Sadist Teacher Shimahara has come around (and is much happier, too). (A handy chart on the last page (in the form of a road they're all walking naked on) shows how exhibitionistic each character is in comparison to Hana.)
- Playing the trope slightly more straight, Hana's mother turns out to be a raving exhibitionist, as does her teacher, Shimahara. Hana's mother wasn't hiding it, Hana just never brought it up. Shimahara was repressing hers so badly that it's a major source of her personality problems.
~~Escalating War~~ Escalating Exhibitionism: The series starts with a tiny bit of exhibitionism. It ends with the entire class having a naked orgy in a public field. The series title itself refers to Hana's walking down the path of exhibitionism (and the feeling she feels when nude), and is an allegory to her becoming more of one (while everyone else is following her).
Fanservice Cover: Taking the TAG cover and running with the theme -- the cover is Hana, completely nude, with only a tiny flower covering the absolute bare minimum to avoid the censors. Even the text on the cover is moved out of the way to maximize the amount of bare flesh shown.
In Vino Veritas: The first hint we have of Shimahara being a closeted exhibitionist is the end of chapter 4, wherein she drunkenly stumbles onto her apartment balcony and enjoys herself in the night air. It later turns out that she repeats this action fairly frequently after she managed to do it once, including a few timid attempts at mimicking Hana's fun walking around outside (or in this case, in her underwear). All of which some of the students (who live in the same apartment building and the one across the street), noticed. One of the final chapters of the series involves the students staging a (naked) intervention during an overnight field trip.
Lamarck Was Right: Hana discovers towards the middle of the series that her mother is just as exhibitionistic if not more so than her.
Oh Crap: Rei and Isawa's reaction to hearing that Shimahara caught Hana doing something bad, and called her mother. (Turns out they needn't worry, Mom's a pervert too.)
Not So Different: Rei and Isawa, who start out hating each other but become friends as they are both pulled along with Hana's lifestyle. More so Hana's extremely strict teacher Shimahara, who it turns out is just as exhibitionistic as Hana -- she just didn't have enough courage to explore that aspect of her personality.
Sadist Teacher: Shimahara, Hana's teacher. Not outright sadistic per say, but she is a hardass... until Hana solves her personality problems... via Exhibitionism!
Schoolgirl Lesbians: Played straight -- two of the girls are quite happy to play along with the orgies in the field outside, until two of the guys come up to them, which sends them into panic attacks. So Rei drags both guys off.
Shocking Swerve: The first page of the series. Hana was told by her teacher to do some freewriting to get her thoughts on paper, so she writes a multi page essay on her exhibitionism, complete with detailed examples of her sexual fantasies involving walking around town nude. The reactions her friends and fellow students have lead one to believe this came completely out of left field.
Yandere: Hana's mother is quite happy to explain to Totsukawa what she thinks of him threatening her daughter earlier in the series. She says this while half naked, trying to force him to have sex with her, with Hana's class watching (and Hana protesting, loudly). Then Hana decides to sit on his face while he's otherwise... occupied.
