- Crowning Moment of Awesome: Zelazny was once approached by three groups of anthology editors, each seeking a themed science fiction or fantasy story from him - one about chess, one about unicorns, one set in a bar. Zelazny responded by producing the story Unicorn Variations, which is about a man who plays chess against a unicorn in a bar, and then successfully sold this one story to all three anthologies.
