- Complete Monster: Believe it or not, Iris. She kills a priest in the beginning of Grollschwert for the heck of it!
- However, in Kiora's Doushinji Rosenkreuzstilette AfterStory, otherwise known as Tearis, she gets reduced from a Complete Monster to a Jerkass Woobie who is placed under the care of Tia, who believes that killing her won't solve any of the problems she left behind, and thinks she has a kinder, gentler side inside her. Of course, Zorne still blames Iris for her adoptive father's death and vows to kill her, leaving Freu to attempt to stop her through battle (which gives way to Zorne's new rage-born power), and Iris, knowing of the conflict, asks Tia to end her life in order to truly end the ensuing chaos.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Again, Iris. A rare case of a character that shows herself to be both a Complete Monster AND a Magnificent Bastard since she makes everyone look like idiots and looks both badass and like a Cheerful Child while doing so AND crosses the Moral Event Horizon at the same time.
- Fanon: Along with what has already been denoted as such, there are fanon biographies of the (human) characters of the first game, which list everyone as being all born before Y 2 K. At least it explains their clothing....
- Goddamned Bats: The barrels in Sichte's Freudenstachel stage. You know, the flying ones with eyes that extend their antennae and shoot electric beams from the spikes on their tips. Yeah, they're goddamn annoying.
- Also, the enemies that resemble Mega Man's Mettaurs. And the spear-throwing knights. And the cross enemies. And the egg-dropping eagles. And the skulls that are invulnerable except against some special weapons. And the fireballs that resemble a certain powerup from Bomberman. To be fair, pretty much almost every regular enemy that RKS has to offer.
- Jerkass Woobie: Iris in the Doushinji Tearis.
- Love to Hate: Iris, again.
- Magnificent Bastard: Once again, Iris.

- Memetic Mutation: "Traitorous dog! Your life ends here!"
- Moe: There's a reason why this game has an Fundamentally Female Cast, after all.
- Moral Event Horizon: Iris did this entire gambit to accomplish her ultimate goal, but, she says she also did it for personal amusement. She's murdered her father, jailed somebody who knew about her plans, and, in Grollschwert, kills a priest just for fun, that shows that Iris crosses the line.
- Needs More Love: And how.
- Nightmare Fuel: As if the Ominous Latin Chanting and the zombies running around Grolla's stage just wasn't enough in the first game, her Freudenstachel stage boasts several more Ghosts N Goblins references, including a familiar Astaroth mini-boss. Oh, and a bloody rainstorm near the end.
- The recent [erka:es] blog update shows a Ghouls n' Ghosts reference showing Lucifer in the background of Grolla's boss fight.
- The Cross Wall, complete with blood-red tint, is sure to give you nightmares every time you fight it. Not just because it's That One Boss, but also because of its bloody tint.
- Every time Raimund enlarges his Grollschwert and has it rain down on your head, be prepared to get an expression of horror on your own face.
- Also, Graf Sepperin's demonic One-Winged Angel form is frightening enough to make your hair stand on end. He is an Expy of Dracula, after all.
- A recent blog post shows that Sichte's Freudenstachel stage will be swarming with Medusa head-esque enemies as well.
- And let's not forget the muscular-looking skeletal abominations that were revealed in earlier blog posts.
- What about Zorne's talk theme, "Sinner", composed by Unlimited Hellest? The church organs, evil Ethereal Choirs and violins, and heavy metal playing in the background while you're talking with Zorne sure give this Troper the chills. And to top it all off? Not only is it Darker and Edgier than her stage theme, but it's EVEN DARKER than several other talk themes! So you can say this is easily by far one of the darkest of the conversation themes in RKS.
- That One Boss: In discussions about the game, all the bosses in Sepperin's Castle are mentioned frequently, especially the Cross Wall.
- And the Yellow Devil from the Mega Man series appears in Iris's fortress. Enough said.
- What Do You Mean It's Not for Little Girls?: It may have blood, war, and at least one Complete Monster villain, but once you look past all that and some internet images placed under Rule 34, you might find it okay for little girls thanks to the cheery colors, cute Moe girls and violence placed on the same level as that of Mega Man. Then again, it is a Mega Man clone, after all.
- The Woobie: Zorne, being a Butt Monkey and all that, really must have a tough life. She's desperately trying to get Graf Sepperin to accept her as his real daughter, and Iris decides to make her suffer by killing him for having outlived his usefulness to her plans. And to be fair, she's quite a moody young girl, too.
- Liebea counts as a Woobie as well. She was trapped at the top of the research tower for her refusal to take part in the rebellion. Graf Sepperin did this to her to avoid her becoming an obstacle and, out of fear that she'd become his adversary if he told her the truth, he lied to her that the Empire had taken Karl captive and said that there was no hope to pray for his safe return. And when someone points out his/her disbelief that the Empire should do anything to him or that he/she knows whether he's dead or alive, Liebea just gets upset and her power goes out of control until that someone calms her down through battle.
- To be fair, Liebea didn't know that Karl made an attempt on Iris' life. She didn't even know that He Actually Knows Too Much.
- Sichte may count as a Woobie as well since she has trouble having faith in anyone older than her due to often fretting about her troubled childhood that she had when she was born and raised in the slums.

- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Schwer seems to have shades of this. Because of a trauma of her upbringing that she got from having been forced to subside in a barren, bestial environment, she's suspicious of everyone she meets and feels that her only friend is Zeppy. She even has one of her introduction quotes in the form of "I don't need this world..." And she even believes that the bonds that tie people together are nothing more than an illusion and that everyone should just fall apart. Yup; the only reason she feels that way is just because her life must REALLY suck.
