Safe Harbor
This is a disambiguation page. Safe Harbor could refer to:
- In US broadcast regulation, a period between 10 PM and 6 AM when many content restrictions on over-the-air television do not apply. "Safe harbor" in this context is equivalent to "watershed" in other countries.
- The Otaku O'Clock pattern of pushing animé into late-night timeslots on Japanese terrestrial television is a related concept.
- In US copyright law, a regulation which gives hosting providers an incentive to blindly remove content. The ISP is given "safe harbor" against a copyright claim for user-generated content only if they comply with every spurious legal threat received, allowing corporations to force the takedown of material that in some cases doesn't violate copyright. This gives the customer little defense against false accusations.
- Safe Harbor (TV series), a short-lived 1999 series on The WB
