• Calling Your Attacks: Particularly in the Japanese version:
  • "Hissatu! NEKO ME SLASH!!"
• Catch Phrase / Verbal Tic - "Teyandee!" in the Japanese version.
• Finishing Move: The Cat's Eye Slash, a Sword Beam unleashed from both of Speedy's blades. If this DOESN'T finish off the Monster of the Week in one hit, that's your first clue that things are about to get bad.

• Once an Episode - Almost every episode had him using his Ginzu Sword to blow up the bad guy's giant robot. There were a few exceptions, especially toward the end. Then again, it is in his contract!

• Shout-Out: Speedy (US version) has been known to quote Clint Eastwood every now and then.
• Spell My Name with an "S": "Cerviche" is the official spelling, but fans have been known to use "Service", or less frequently, "Cervichi".

• Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Speedy is afraid of earthquakes in the episode "Quake, Rattle, and Roll".

Guido Anchovy (Sukashii, Nyanki #2)

• The Charmer: He's often seen laying smooth talk on Lucille/Omitsu...
  • Handsome Lech: ...Along with any other pretty lady that catches his eye. Fans have called him "The Kitty Casanova" for a good reason.
• Dude, Where's My Respect?: In "No Talent Guido," all of the Pizza Cats (and Lucille) get music careers...except for him. It actually leads to a moment of Achilles in His Tent before Guido pulls off a Big Damn Heroes moment against the Monster of the Week.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He has moments of needling Speedy, but at the end of the day, he'll always try to help people.
• The Lancer
• Parasol of Doom: The Samurai Sunspot Umbrella, ladies and gents. It includes a sword concealed in the umbrella's grip, can be spun to produce a hypnotic light show, or launch rings that can tie up the bad guys. And Guido can launch it up into the air and ride it as the opener for his Finishing Move.

• Panty Shot: The uniform she wears at Pizza Cat, most usually seen during the team's Transformation Sequence.
• The Power of Love: Often mentioned. Her weapons also follow a heart motif.

• Sparkling Stream of Tears: In the episode "The Great Comet Caper: Part 2", after Speedy takes off in the Supreme Catatonic to destroy the comet by himself.
• Spell My Name with an "S": "Esther" is the official spelling, but "Ester" is seen written on merchandise and Closed Captioning.
• Tsundere: Towards Speedy/Yattaro. She often pummels him for being an idiot, slacking off at work, or pushing one of her Berserk Buttons. However, whenever he's really feeling down, she tries to cheer him up, and if it looks like he's at death's door, she's the one who's most visibly worried about him. It all comes to a head during "The Big Comet Caper", when upon Speedy's return, she embraces him in tearful relief.

• Camp Gay: His dub voice is an obvious Paul Lynde impersonation.
• Catch Phrase: In the Japanese version, whenever he loses, he would yell "KUYASHII!!" ("This is humiliating!!") before he explodes.
• Colony Drop: In the final story arc, he threatens to drop a nearby comet towards Earth unless he is made Emperor of Little Tokyo.
• Evil Chancellor
• He's A Fox In Japan: In SPC, he was changed into a rat.
• Hollywood Tone Deaf: In "No Talent Guido", when he, being a fan of easy listening music, sings so badly that it even drives Jerry, Bad Bird, and the other Ninja Crows crazy.
• Not So Harmless: "The Big Comet Caper." That is all.
• Once an Episode - Blows himself up nearly every episode.

  • The American version of the show offers some Foreshadowing in the form of "Bad Bird Uncaged," when Bad Bird uses the Armor of Worc to absorb Speedy's Cat's Eye Slash and turns the power back against Speedy in the form of a raging firebird-shaped blast.
• Fate Worse Than Death: Being married to Princess Vi, which he even lampshaded that quote.
• Heel Face Turn: In "The Great Comet Caper: Part 2"
• I Want You to Meet An Old Friend of Mine - His Japanese actor voiced Ryoga in Ranma 1/2. Speedy's actor voiced Ranma.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold

The Rude Noise (Yami no Yon Nin Shu)

A Quirky Miniboss Squad of ninja crows with custom-designed armor, sometimes employed by the Big Cheese to fight the Pizza Cats. One of their recurring themes is to use combination techniques to provide an uphill battle for the team.

Bad Max (Crow Magnon) (Zankaa)

• Eyepatch of Power: A glass lens mounted in his helmet that looks rather like a scouter.
• An Axe to Grind: Favors a pair of tomahawks.

Cannonball Battery (Bonkaa)

• The Big Guy
• Evil Counterpart: To General Catton/Rikkinoshin
• Meaningful Name: You think?
• More Dakka: Has a back-mounted cannon and a pair of shoulder-mounted triple-barrel blasters. Clearly, he feels There Is No Kill Like Overkill.

Mojo Rojo (Rekkaa)

• BFS: His sword is a nodachi that rivals bad Bird/Karamaru's!
• Meaningful Name: "Rojo" means "red" in Spanish.

  • Hyperspace Arsenal: In the Japanese version of "The Great Comet Caper: Part 2", Omitsu, very excited to see Yattarou alive, launches a giant nuke from her head that destroys Edoropolis. That part was cut from the US version.
