• Crowning Music of Awesome: There is a reason that the soundtrack album was certified 15x platinum.
  • How awesome was the soundtrack? Alice Cooper remembers panning the album to fans and the public, but privately, thought it was (and still is) the best album he's ever listened to.
• Hollywood Pudgy: Donna Pescow (Annette) gained 30 lbs to better fit the role, as well as training herself back to her Brooklyn accent. (Immediately after the film was done, she set to work losing the extra weight and the accent.)
• Just Here for Godzilla: Most of the people who saw the film in The Seventies cared only for The Bee Gees songs and Travolta's dance numbers.
• Retroactive Recognition: Fran Drescher's first film role, in a minor part.
• Unfortunate Implications: It's implied that the rape was Laser-Guided Karma for Annette trying for a Relationship Upgrade with Tony and for getting drunk and high and trying to make him jealous. Coldly Lampshaded by Tony afterwards.
• The Woobie: Poor, poor Annette.
  • Bobby C., too. Tony is the only one who treats him vaguely like a human being.
