• Tear Jerker: There's a ton in this game! By the time you finished all of the routes, you will probably be having bucketloads of tears. Some examples include:
  • Conquering Mouri House without lifting Motonari's curse: Mouri dies with a smile saying "It was a good fight" his curse lifted soon after with one of his subordinates crying
  • True Route: Kouhime's Rape as Drama moment.
  • Seeing all Akashi House events: Kazemaru witnessing the third Nuhe killing commanders then getting killed herself.
  • Making Ueusugi house a vassal and/or arriving too late: Oblivious to the fact that Kenshin was hopelessly in love with him at the time, Rance can betray her by striking a deal with Kenshin's evil uncle and subsequently rape her.
  • Letting the Demon Army capture Liala will show a scene that is distrubing and heartbreaking in equal measure.
    • Might be compounded by the fact that both cases above involve losing extremely good units.
  • The descendants of the people who sealed Xavier and his apostles getting their heads exploding when said apostles reawaken.
    • Ran's death just as Ran and Souun are about to be reunited with each other, Suzaku comes out of Ran, killing her, this, of course, starts Souun's Roaring Rampage of Revenge
