Crosses the Line Twice: Something that Roger Ebert liked about the movie.
Crowning Moment of Awesome: The entire film seems to be an attempt to consist of nothing but attempts at this. Almost any scene could be the climax of a slightly more rational movie.
- I go with either Smith nailing DQ WHILE killing baddies; the parachute gun-fight; or Smith's finger-bullets
  - I vote for the spanking scene.
Crowning Moment of Funny: Quite a few in the movie. This troper's personal favorite is when Smith conks one of the mooks by shooting the back of a filing cabinet and smashes it into his head. Even Oliver seems to find it amusing.
- Also, Hertz' failed baby-snipe attempt.

Hertz: (deadpan) Fuck me sideways.

- Nirvana's "Breed" in the first gunfight scene sets the tone of the rest of the movie. And "Joker and the Thief" shortly after.
- Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" over the final scene. And never stop.

Fetish Fuel: Apparently the actress spanked by Clive Owen in the museum was quite looking forward to the experience.

Memetic Mutation: The sex scene is by far the most well-known scene in the movie. Many viewers who watch the scene on video hosting sites have no idea what movie it's from. They just know that it's an absurd[ly awesome] sex scene with Monica Bellucci in it.
MST3K Mantra: If you value your cranium, just turn off your brain and enjoy. Seriously.
Squick: When Hertz fondles the dead mother.
- Which then causes him to realize that Smith will need to find the baby a nursemaid.
  - The director laughingly said he hoped that scene won "Best Romantic Moment" at the MTV Movie Awards.
- Also, when DQ gets the Marilyn Manson wannabe to cooperate with her by ripping his cock-ring out.
- The fight after the torture scene is made by this trope.
