• Complete Monster: The serial killer the Colt who targets foals and eats them after their death. The real YMMV comes from the fact that it's not him, but Lance Strongshy, his wife - Fluttershy's parents - and Nurse Soft Cure who are the most hated characters of the main story among the fanbase. This stems not only from them abusing the living hell for Fluttershy, but unlike the Colt they knew that what they were doing was wrong. Still they made themselves believe she deserved being abused and haven't acknowledged it yet. Only Fluttershy's mother can be excused since her disease had messed with her mind so much she commanded her innoncent child to Mercy Kill her but many readers still hate her.
  • Lance is THE most hated character in all of the series. There's an own community on Deviantart dedicated to torturing him and it has become a meme / Running Gag that the fans start randomly 'Torture Lance 'RP' scenarios in comments.
  • Fluttershy throwing back Soft Cure and scaring her into submission with the STARE was met with loud cheers from the audience. Not speaking of when Rainbow Dash enters, sees what Soft Cure did to Fluttershy and punches the nurse.
  • The main story's author's Fan Nickname is 'monster'.
• Hell Is That Noise: The air raid siren announcing an impending world shift.
  • Whenever Lance listens to his memories of his wife, half-locked behind doors with the number 303 in the apartment complex, a loud ringing in his ear cuts the voices off and catapults him out of the memory. It's likely his subconsciousness's attempts to keep him from remembering.
• Jerkass Woobie: Lance Strongshy of Silent Ponyville 2 has traces of this, but this is brought out more in Reunion.
  • Also, Demitri from Blood Chronicles. Whether he's more of a Jerkass or a Woobie depends on which ending you get.
