These are recommendations made by Tropers for Space Quest, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be Zapped (wiki). Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.
Do warn when a fanfic may head into homosexual or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.
Burn, Xenon, Burn by Diane LaJuene

- Synopsis: A three-part story that explores Roger Jr's life from childhood up to the end of the SQ4 game. What is it like being not only the son of a janitor and an ambassador, but a would-be artist on a world that's given up on art and culture as being unhealthy and "unrealistic"? Would you fight to save it, or would you celebrate it dying? Maybe even both?
- Warning: As you might've guessed from the synopsis, it's a very, very, very Dark Fic.
Future's History Parts I & II by Daniel Stacey

- Synopsis: A two-part novel which also tells about the events of SQ4 from Roger Jr's perspective, starting from after the events of SQ4 and showing the fight to rebuild Xenon. This one's a lot more upbeat, and involves politics, time travel, aliens, rebirths, and a best friend with a dark secret that might shake his and Roger Jr's friendship to the core.
