Jedi General Plo Koon and his fleet are sent to investigate the trail of a mysterious Separatist superweapon. When the Council loses connection with his fleet, they have to decide whether they send help and risk losing more man, or leaving the possible survivors to their fate.

Tropes

• A Father to His Men: Plo Koon
• Awesome but Impractical The podhunter.
• Exact Words: When Anakin and his fleet are ordered to protect military hyperspace-routes, he sends his fleet to the coordinates, but he himself leaves the fleet in a small ship with Ahsoka and R2, in order to search for survivors. He even Lampshades it to teach it to Ahsoka.
• ExpendableClones: Lampshaded by the clones themselves. Plo Koon tries to argue it, but the only reason they're saved is because Ahsoka refused to give up searching for him.
• Explosive Decompression Averted and lampshaded by Plo Koon. Before leaving the space-pod, he orders his men to put on their helmet and follow him. He doesn't need helmet and spacesuit, because he can withstand the pressure for a short time.
• Latex Space Suit: The clone armors are revealed to be able to protect the clones for a short time in space.
• Parental Substitute: Plo Koon is revealed to be this for Ahsoka, as he was the Jedi who found her, and brought her to the Jedi Temple.
• Shout-Out When the ion-cannon of the Malevoulence is fired, the scene is exactly the same as when the Death Star blew up the Alderaan.
• The Power of Friendship: Ahsoka was able to find Master Plo, by she sensing his presence in the Force, through the bond they have.
• Wave Motion Gun: The Malevolence ion cannon.
