Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Best Known for the Fanservice: GX is generally considered to be the weakest part of the show, but everybody agrees that the Gears on the beach playing beach volleyball in skimpy swimsuits was a very welcome sight to see.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: It's Nana Mizuki and Minami Takayama, what did you expect?
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Genjuro. To have a Hot-Blooded Big Brother Mentor in a Magical Girl Warrior series is a first.
  • Fridge Brilliance: If the Noise are behind most monsters in legends, maybe people accidentally fused with relics gave birth to werewolf tales?
  • Fridge Logic: For some reason the trio forgets to use Durandal to take out the Moon, relying instead in a choral Ultimate Song.
  • I Knew It!: Some fans assumed that the Downer Beginning was just a Troll and that Hibiki is still alive. Some even thought of it already at the very beginning. Boy, they were right!
  • Les Yay: Within the first episode, we're shown two girls engaging in emotionally intimate conversation while physically sharing the top bunk of a bunk bed. By the second episode, it is implied that such is a regular occurrence for the two, even if it's not meant to last. Scratch that. They reunite and get to see the shooting stars in the end.
    • Miku seems to be very fond of Hibiki, blushing around her, being unhappy when they can't be together, being reduced to a solemn, morose wreck after her death... Hibiki, for her part, all but confessed her love for Miku in the second episode. While they were sharing a bed.
    • The first scene we get of Tsubasa shows her blushing while Kanade tells her that she (Kanade) needs her. Following Kanade's death, Tsubasa has been obsessed with Kanade.
    • Episode 3 has Ryouko biting Hibiki's ear and pretty much (read: explicitly) saying that she wants to take Hibiki's virginity.
    • Astute readers will note that this accounts for every named female character but Chris. She shas her moment with Miku in episode eight.
    • Miku checking out a book titled "Be Honest with Yourself". It's not that hard to figure what it's about.
  • Replacement Scrappy: In-universe example with Hibiki, to Tsubasa. Thus far, she's started to let up and not see Hibiki as one anymore.
  • What the Hell Casting Agency: All of the seiyuus for the Valkyries are not widely known for the genre they portray in the anime. (Aoi Yuuki doing a Badass Leitmotif? Ayahi Takagaki opting for HARD ROCK?). To be fair, Nana Mizuki does have yet another Dark Magical Girl character.
