Tales of Legendia/Trivia

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Bad Export for You: It's easy to interpret this because half the game is more or less played in silence because the localizers didn't have enough of a budget to provide voice acting for the character quests.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Jay in Japanese only. In English, he was voiced by the clearly male Steve Staley.
  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Examples in the English version:
    • Norma is Rikku, Jay is Neji, Maurits is Dewey Novak.
    • Will is Kratos and Norma is Presea. Which is REALLY weird, when you think about how completely different Norma and Presea are.
    • Moses has Zelos' voice, and Stella has Sheena's voice. Oddly enough, the Captain of the Gadorian Knights has Luke and Asch's voice.
    • Not only is Carrie Savage Shirley, but she also plays the part of domestically abused, emotionally unstable Penny from Crayon Shin-chan.
    • Grant George and Wendee Lee as Curtis and Isabella, respectively. Yes, really. Many fans agree that the English versions of the Bantam Bouncers' songs are actually better than the Japanese versions.
    • Vaclav was voiced by Daran Norris. Don't know who he is? Do you remember Tales of Symphonia? He was Rodyle. Fairly Oddparents? He was Cosmo AND Timmy's Dad AND Jorgen Von Strangle. What does he look like? Look back at Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, he's the janitor.
    • Kari Wahlgren as Melanie. Not only is she the voice of Raine Sage from Tales of Symphonia, but she's also Kagami from Lucky Star.
  • Names to Know in Anime:
  • What Could Have Been: Walter was supposedly intended to make a Heel Face Turn and join your party.
