• Ion's death is enough to bring tears to even the most stoic troper.
• Asch's death. After killing every soldier in front of him, he just collapses to the ground and with his last energy, gives Luke his last words.

Asch: It looks like I had a little trouble...the rest is up to you. It's much more bloody in the anime though.

• Arietta's death in the anime, it brought tears to many viewer's eyes.
• If you think that the guy who came back was Asch, then Tear's tears at the end can totally be considered this as she realized that Luke really is dead, and she'll never see him again.
