Quentyn, son of Quinn

• At the village coming-of-age ceremony, making a choice for his life. Note that the stone glows brighter the more you believe in your choice.

Villager 1: Did you see that? Villager 2: You kidding? They saw that at the capital.

• The Little Big Killer arc, again and again.
  • In the middle of a perfectly well-intentioned "The Reason You Suck" Speech, Quentyn proves his worth in true unprepossessing fashion.
  • Disarmed, surrounded, facing a brutal opponent holding a hostage ... but wearing his magic boots. And in a fraction of a second, the game is changed completely.
  • And just after, three of the villain's followers burst out of the water to kill Quentyn in revenge. Instead, with his underestimated sword's magic flaring full blast and himself acting on instinct and too scared to notice what the weapon is doing, Quentyn kills the lot on them with one slash!
    • This troper thinks that the greatness of the moment is further continued right after the arc, when Quentyn the young kit sees nightmares about his first kills and cries on his mother's lap - a really touching strip.
• The killing of the rat-king to the narration of Psalm 23...
  • And if crying about killing the Gragum put the icing on that cake, then his confession he has failed in the following Crowning Moment of Heartwarming puts the icing on this one.
  • And, still wrapped up in bandages from that fight, taking a moment to make a few remarks on parenting strategies.
• The climax of the street gangs arc essentially starting here (up to and including his bluffing of the Royals leader about a "license to kill") pretty qualifies too.
• Quentyn defends himself.
• At the critical juncture, with the fate of his home village at stake, Quentyn finds the way out.
• A moment before departure.
• And outside the mistwall: Quentyn seizes credit for a child's foolish insult to The Fair Folk and turns it into a game for the fate of the kingdom he has encountered.
  • And wins three times over.
• The Duke learns not to underestimate Quentyn son of Quinnn.
• You've just avoided being incinerated a dragon...so how do you retaliate? Well, unless its brain isn't in its head, the answer would apparently be to lobotomize it.
  • Bonus points to Wildcard for showing that, on top of its already-gargantuan list of abilities, it's a Morph Weapon.

Others

• One might give some credit to Linnaeus, the priest we meet in the epilogue of the Gragum arc. To enter unarmed the territory of a frankly antagonistic tribe for no more reason than to be a Good Shepherd ... that takes some courage.
• After the Tumbledowns arc, Guardsman Mulharney shows his hand.
• After the Wild Hunt, Quentyn discovers the rooster that had crowed the dawn.
