On another note, the picture is much bigger than we normally allow for page images. If resizing it is off the table without special permission, and we don't get it, we should consider/discuss if we should remove the image from the wiki.
I don't know whether the caption is necessary, but we do need to acknowledge the source of the image somehow.
And, yes, maybe we should find a smaller similar image somewhere else.
Well, the source of the image is mentioned in the summary of the file page . It has been my habit to hope that is sufficient acknowledgement.
It usually is.
However, is the wiki software's auto-resizing of the image on the file page a violation of the ND term?
