Sometime soon I'll be adding a couple more examples to this trope and then launching it. However, I'm not entirely happy with the name, as it has nothing about it that says "giant germs". As noted below, TVT called it "Mega-Microbes", but I'm actually thinking of snowcloning it into "Attack of the 50-Foot Bacteria". Any thoughts, objections, alternatives?

We've had this since the fork -- TVT launched it as "Mega-Microbes" and it has dozens of examples. Anyone care to write our own versions of some of them?

... and it looks like it has potential. It needs some examples and lots of Wiki Magic, but I think it'd be worth it.
