The current image, which we inherited from TV Tropes during the fork, is a 2007 piece by Richard Aldrich. As good as it is, it's still under copyright.

There are alternatives in the Public Domain that are almost as good:

And over a hundred more to choose from.

Should we replace the image?

And if we should, with which replacement? (I rather like Ignacio Merino's work. Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret's painting has a simple elegance to it, as well. Henry Fuseli's lithograph is a recognizable scene that isn't the standard one. But I like all of the ones that I suggested.)
