Should we rename this trope?

For people new to the wiki, it can be needlessly confusing to have a trope called 'Human Resources' which is not about the HR department, on top of the fact that we actually have a trope about the HR department.

Wordplay is funny and all, but when we name tropes, we should consider the name from the viewpoint of someone new to troping as they try to discern what an unfamiliar trope name means. It's not a guarantee that they'll click on the link and discover the ironic definition.

I suggest we rename this trope to "Resources From Humans". We can still explain in the article that the title is a play on the phrase "Human Resources".

Oh, come on.

In which scenario(s)?

QuestionableSanity (talkcontribs)

I just said. In scenarios where people new to troping are looking to join our community.

TBeholder (talkcontribs)

It's not a scenario. It's nebulous. For example, "people new to troping are looking to join our community" includes "Newbie #123 never have seen TVT, followed the link to ATT a year ago, thought it's kind of fun… and STILL never have seen, much less followed, any links to Human Resources".

You didn't demonstrate as much as possible existence of the problem.

In this case, I got the pun almost immediately. While the trope name isn't completely descriptive, this isn't a case of a Non-Indicative Name. I think.
