No Real Life Examples?

I'm not sure if this is left over control-freakery from TV Tropes or if it's from this site's current policy, but I'm not sure if I see a problem in this trope having real life examples. Unlike say Complete Monster, Smug Snake, or Jerkass, I don't really see this trope as being flame-bait worthy, just noting people in real life who happen to be pretty damn nice like the late Fred Rogers.

I concur.

TBeholder (talkcontribs)

Well, yeah.

Then again, it's doomed to turn into political gushing instead.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Point noted, TBeholder.

Ah yeah, I have to agree I see your point. Didn't really think of that, I was too focused on the ugly side of things like labeling say George Bush or Barack Obama as Complete Monsters or Smug Snakes, I failed to notice that people would try to paint political favorites of theirs as overly good people (Draco in Leather Pants I guess would be the proper term).

Still though, could we at least make it to where Real Life examples are allowed, but be on the look-out for said political gushing? I still think TBeholder makes solid points, I just think Real Life Nice Guy is immediately less problematic than Real Life Complete Monster.
