Inconsistent terminology regarding Lord Fanny

In one instance, this character is referred to as a "transvestite." In another, this character is referred to as a "transsexual." So which is it?

Check the source material and see what it uses.

By the way, while most of your edits have been acceptable, let me just suggest that if our text quotes the use of "transsexual" or other "outdated language" in a work, you should not change it. That is tantamount to bowdlerizing the work in question. A good example would be your edit to Enchanted Arms -- in that case we are reporting on the content of the American version of the manual. Changing their language in our text does not change the work in question and in fact misrepresents it. Similarly, be careful when changing The Invisibles -- if the source uses "outdated" language, preserve that language. Our text is fair game, but not the text of a work.

Regardless, thanks for all your hard work.

Then put the word "transsexual" in quotation marks. Otherwise, it sounds like you're using that terminology yourself. Indicate, at the very least, that you're quoting something.

How does that strike you as a solution?

That depends on the context in which it is used, but it seems like an acceptable compromise.
