The laconic is very consistent with what Combat Medic says about this trope. Neither of those are super consistent with the actual trope description. There can be overlap with the trope description, but that overlap is far from inherent. What should be revised. Description on the main page, or the laconic and Combat Medic's description of Red Mage?

As far as I can tell, the laconic could be improved.

As for the actual pages, I barely see anything wrong with them.

Combat Medic and Laconic say Red Mage is specifically a mage that is proficient in damage and healing.

Red Mage page description says that the mage is capable of multiple disciplines of magic. That doesn't necessarily mean healing + damage.

Also it is possible for healing and damage to come from the same discipline, which wouldn't fit under the Red Mage page's trope description, but wouldn't fit under the laconic description or what the Combat Medic page says about Red Mage.

Firstly, that's only relevant to say that they're an combat medic; which true for an lot of RPGs.

Secondly, it depends on the damage output and list of spells available.

And that sounds like an White Mage's part-time job. Or an side-effect of certain spells.

I'm not sure I understood your post. I said multiple things, and if you are replying to a certain part, you didn't make it clear which part you were replying too. If that it is not the problem, maybe it would help if you paraphrased it.

Is it okay if I change the laconic and Combat medic see also section to correctly reflect the Red Mage article trope description?

I really don't care about the laconic, stuff; although an admin might. And the combat medic description should be altered to list the other things an red mage does.
