I was thinking Isekai might deserve it's own page (instead of being lumped in with Trapped in Another World), since in japan it's become more of a genre than just a trope, complete with it's own cliches and such.

TBeholder (talkcontribs)

Not sure it needs splitting any more than "Viking Metal" from "Heavy Mithril", but distinct genre entries surely deserve a note.

Goo Monster (talkcontribs)

Does that mean it deserves a separate example section?

TBeholder (talkcontribs)

Section or a note in the examples. But it's almost all Anime & Manga and maybe a few games, correct? Then a separate section probably would be the best. And it will be obvious when there will be enough to split.

In my opinion, "own clichés" doesn't mean "Own tropes", and Isekai is merely a genre where this trope is the premise with an extra dash of Wish Fullfillment for sake of variety. I agree with TBeholder above that you can group Isekai works together within the article, at least until you have enough material to justify an split or a new page about the genre and how differs, tropistically speaking, of the rest of "Trapped in Another World" works.
