Taxi Driver/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • While it would be considered awesome as demonstrated by the praise he gets for it at the end. Travis Killing Sport and his subordinates to rescue Iris, in the shootout is Nightmare Fuel. When Travis shoots Sport, it's shot in a way that would look no different than a public shooting caught on tape. When he shoots The Old Man guarding Iris' apartment, his had comes right off in graphic detail of what a Magnum can do. Even when Travis gets hit back with shots, it's still pretty gruesome. Sport ends up shooting him in the neck, which gushes enough blood that Travis has to cover it with on hand. Even when Travis shoots him dead with the snub nose, he fires more shots on him to make sure he doesn't get back up like he did before. When the old man attacks him and pursues him through the building, it's in sinister slow motion for a brief period, showing Travis freaked out by the man's relentless pursuit. The man shouting "I'll kill you!!" doesn't help either. Iris' "Client" Also gets the drop on Travis wounding him in the shoulder, before the latter uses his concealed colt he'd been practicing with. The man's death is even more gruesome when even after being shot in the face and head he starts firing off random shots before collapsing in Iris' room. When Travis follows, the old man manages to tackle him briefly, but not before Travis stabs him with his boot knife and finishes his him off with the client's gun. As if that wasn't bad enough he's been trying to kill himself after, but all the guns are empty. When the cops come in he just sits there with a bloodied finger, pointed at his own hand like a gun before imitating sounds of gunshots. at this point Travis seems off his rocker for good.
