  • The moment leading up to Sonny killing his family in Amityville 2: The Possession is one big tear-jerker leading up to Nightmare Fuel. It begins on his birthday, with his family in the dining room encouraging him to blow out his candle. His younger siblings and parents all give him lots of love but soon he hears the demon whispering bad things about his family. As he heads back upstairs, friends and family show up but he barely acknowledges them and isolates himself from his own party. Patricia tries to get him down but he begins to demonically contort his face and body and to keep her from seeing him, calls his closest sibling a "damn bitch", hurting her. And then at night time, he succumbs to the demon and kills his siblings and parents. What was meant to be the happiest day of anyone's life was the end of his. His siblings and parents are gone and he likely lost the love of his remaining family and lost all his friends and even with the demon removed will likely receive life in prison.
