  • Surprising, in a horror film like this, appears in the last scene right before they are killed by the police. Otis is handed one of the big guns by Spaulding. This is cemented by the fact that Spaulding had given Otis control as family leader, as Spaulding was the offical family leader and Spaulding had been a dick to Otis (though could you blame him for hating Otis?). But this scenes shows that Otis had proven enough about himself to become family leader. Hell, the three actors playing Baby, Otis and Spaulding even comment about this on the commentary.
