The Lone Gunmen/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

    • Fast forward six months to September 11, 2001...
      • This Troper has read 9/11 conspiracy theories that mirror the relevant parts of the pilot almost exactly. Even the parts that are inconsistent with the actual events. These are among the less crazy ideas, since they at least have no holographic jets.
        • I'll see it and raise you the 9-11 Conspiracy sites that directly link to YouTube clips of the aforementioned scene, with a mention of "If a couple screwballs writing a FOX dramedy could get the idea, then how could the government NOT get the idea unless they knew it was coming and let it happen?"
      • Least crazy? In the show, all The Government did was hijack the plane's autopilot - and every airline in the US is legally required to be subsidized...
    • Truth in Television? From what I understand, Haglund (Langley's actor) buys the idea that 9-11 was a False-Flag Operation, in part because the show demonstrated how easily it could have been done.
