  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The Storm Cloud Concerto, composed by Arthur Benjamin with words by D. B. Wyndham-Lewis. Hitchcock gave his favorite composer, Bernard Herrmann, the chance to write his own piece for the Albert Hall scene, and Herrmann simply took the music from the original film and made it longer, saying that was the only way he could improve upon it. Then Hitchcock uses it to shoot almost ten minutes of film without a single line of dialogue, keeping the audience in perfect suspense, knowing exactly what will happen but unable to do a damn thing to stop it.
