The Men Who Stare at Goats/Heartwarming

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • The scene where Bill and Bob liberate the prisoners and Lyn liberates the goats.
  • The scene where after foiling the Traffickers plans to sell them, Bob and Lyn's first reaction after escaping is to find and rescue the Iraqi prisoner Mahmud. Granted they accidentally hit him with the car, but the thought was good. When they all make it to Mahmud's home town, he offers them shelter and Lyn apologizes not just for the hit, but for the way Todd Dixon's security detail treats Iraqis. Hoping that it doesn't make Mahmud judge all Americans by their actions. Mahmud in turn apologizes for the kidnappers. Hoping that Lyn doesn't view all Arabs that way. Which Lyn saying the following line.

Lyn: Not your fault sir. We have kidnappers in America and there's always bad apples.

  • While Lyn didn't initially get along with Bob, due to his own eccentricities and protectiveness of his identity and mission, upon seeing what he views as sign that Bob is a potential "Jedi" such as seeing Bob's doodle of the Third Eye symbol, he brings him along. As well as teaches him everything he knows about the project and protecting him whenever he could. Including taking on a small group of kidnappers in a fight to rescue him and Mahmud.
